View Full Version : Should we build a granary in Nar Shadaa?
Sir John May 20, 2003, 11:31 AM There is a lot of food all around Nar Shadaa, but a grnary might help on. Since there is so much food around here, I guess that Nar Shadaa will be a Settler\Worker Proction Center but do we need a granry yet or should we build spearman\warrior?

eyrei May 20, 2003, 08:41 PM Currently, Nar Shadaa is building workers and warriors...one of each every ten turns. These workers will be used for the betterment of the empire by building roads and irrigating. Since Nar Shadaa does not have the resources to be a settler factory or a metropolis, it is doing the next best thing and supplying laborers. It does not need a granary to perform this function effectively, at least for the moment.

Chieftess May 20, 2003, 11:56 PM With a granary, that's 1 size growth every 5 turns. Nar Shaddaa currently has a 2spt cattle tile. That's 10 shields every 5 turns, which leads to a worker every 5 turns. Right now, it's a worker every 10 turns.
Here's a model of Nar Shaddaa as a worker factory (with no terrain improvements - as it doesn't/won't need any)

the numbers indicate how many workers we can build with and without a granary in that city.

Shaitan May 22, 2003, 10:03 AM It's not just a worker every ten turns. It's a worker AND a warrior every ten turns. I say no granary at this point.
Rik Meleet May 22, 2003, 02:19 PM I agree with Shaitan and Cyc. At this moment it can wait and therefore should wait. We need more workers and warriors at this moment. After we have some of them we can renegotiate a granary in Nar Shadaa. We might already have the Pyramids by then. Or we could be able to rush-buy a granary then.
But since I see the points of both views I chose Abstain. If it''s build now, fine by me. It it isn't, fine by me.
