Ok, this is not going to be like a story persay like i am used to doing, but more of just a record of a great game i think I am going to be playing this time around.
I am the Spanish playing on a Pangea map, and I tweaked the Spanish so they are industrious, while having thier normal traits (I love playing as the Spanish, but can't stand not being industrious ;))
"Your majesty, we are ready for the deployment of the swordsmen - " the general was interupted as a man with deep black hair by the name of Mario bursted into the room, "Sire! Our scholars and trainers have learned how to better train and equip our soldiers! They call the new fighters the Medieval Infantry. They are much better then our swordsmen."
Ferdinand stood up at obviouse attention, "Yes, equip our soldiers! How much will it cost to equip our whole army?"
"Close to 200 gold, sire."
"Do it. And for the spearmen on our city?"
"Yes, sire, they can be upgraded as well. Also, for the price of 200 gold."
"Do it. Dip into the our treasury to complete should you need too."
The Spanish were known only as vast and lucrative trading partners in the world, and builders of the most beautiful and largest cities in the world. No one would expect this attack upon the Vikings, gaining the Spanish economy access to vast rainforest and plateau regions, not that the Spanish needed it. Already the Spanish had the strongest economy in the world and the most extensive treasury - by far. Ferdinand had 2,512 gold pieces within his deposite, and growing each year. The Spanish navy consisted of a few galleys that would soon be outfitted with the most state of the art technology.

The plan of attack was simple. A small task force, consisting of close to 8 infantry divisions, would board the fleet and head towards southern Vikingland, in the rainforest regions of Norway. The main attack would come across the Espanol Strait, which would dart as fast as they could to the Trondheim capital and capture the government before they could react.

The Soldiers were ready. Ferdinand would be the supreme commander of the forces, and he himself would fight for the Spanish flag. He sent 15 regiments of infantry, along with 4 regiments of pikemen and 4 catapults to be the main fighting force and head towards Oslo, a main Viking industrial center with one of the sources of Iron within Scandinavia. A lone horsemen regiment would be sent to disable the other iron source that was connected to the Viking empire. Another 4 infantry divisions departed for Odense, a small Viking coastal city south of Santiago that Ferdinand did not suppose to be well gaurded. Meanwhile, the 8 infantry regiments were still loading at the port of Barcelona for their trip to southern Scandinavia for the battle of the rainforest. Operation Eastward was the code name for the attacks in the north, and Operation Burn Rainforest was the codename for the attacks in the south.
Battles were soon fought in Scandinavia, the first one was for Oslo. The mass amount of Spanish easily chopped through the two spearmen regiments and one pikemen regiment gaurding the city, with only loosing one infantry regiment themselves! The first navy battle belonged to the Spanish as well, as one of the transport galleys were dispatched to sink a small Viking fleet hovering around the coast of Spain. The battle for Odensa was just as Ferdinand had planned - simple. With no real losses, the Spanish were able to take the city from one spearman regiment accompanied by an archer regiment. Meanwhile, the two mobile units (horsemen) encountered a hostile archer regiment, severely injuring horses in regiment Madrid. The archers were soon defeated, though the health of the regiment Madrid was low.

The battles went as planned. Trondheim fell, though took many soldiers with it. Operation Burn Rainforest went as planned, not one regiment was lost as the two cities on the west coast fell to Spanish infantry. Ferdinand gave orders for the army in the south to garrison and heal themselves in the cities they capture, and to then march across the forest to the cities on the east coast as well as the more productive city to the north on the eave of the rainforest and grasslands.
