I have been unimpressed with the tech benefit I get from building the Great Library in MP games. I never see the flood of techs I get a turn or two later in non-MP games. Even if this were due to the human players researching at equal rates I would expect more bang for my buck given the different paths taken. Anyone else notice this or have I been sitting in front of my monitor too long?

If the humans were *ALL* researching different paths then it would be less likely that two or more players have a tech that your don't, assuming a small number of players.

However, getting even a small number of techs from the great library saves you alot of research time and cost, and failing that you get good culture output.
