Chieftess May 28, 2003, 08:06 PM I'm going for the Falcon on this one. He needs to fight the next domino war. ;)
Donovan Zoi May 28, 2003, 08:07 PM As am I. Welcome back, Falcon02! :D
Plexus May 28, 2003, 08:08 PM I'm gonna have to abstain, too hard of a choice.
CivGeneral May 28, 2003, 08:36 PM Gah, Vote for CivGeneral. Go CivGeneral
Zarn May 28, 2003, 08:51 PM Tough choice, but I went with CG in the end. I would be happy with either leading the army. They have both proven their skills in this department.
Curufinwe May 28, 2003, 09:01 PM Welcome back Falcon. Your skills will light us to a greater civilization. Good luck on this!
Bootstoots May 28, 2003, 09:54 PM Vote CG for Military Leader!
Civanator May 28, 2003, 09:54 PM GO CG!!!
Noldodan May 29, 2003, 12:27 AM Once again, I cast my vote for CG.
CivGeneral May 29, 2003, 05:53 AM Thanks Boots, Civanator, and Noldodan :).
Go CivGeneral. CivGeneral for Military Leader
Noldodan May 29, 2003, 06:01 AM Of course, you know that this means that I voted for someone else for the Presidency.

Looks like next time I should go for presidency in the next term, incase Falcon02 runs for re-election
Anyway, here are my 2-cents for the election
I will make sure to set up an upgrade project to efficently pump out legonares, and use them for a defensive war. I will ensure that we capture and take down a nation in one swift blow.
Please, vote for CivGeneral for Military Leader. I will bring in a new age in Fanatica history
Vote CivGeneral for Military Leader
Falcon02 May 29, 2003, 05:12 PM hmm... A tie, 12 to 12... knew I wasn't gonna land slide this one ;)

Are you not contradicting yourself with these two sentences? Conquering a whole nation "in one swift blow" doesn't sound very defensive to me... :hmm:
disorganizer May 29, 2003, 05:23 PM Eklek: never heard of "offense is the best defense"?
Falcon02 May 29, 2003, 05:29 PM Well, since CG's posted his policies...
I intend to wage a fairly agressive policy twoards our neighbors, at least at the begaining. Taking out Abe and Cleo at the very least. However after that just make sure we have a good offensive defense...
Ever hear of the saying sometimes the best defense is a good offense? In short after Cleo and Abe I will try to make sure our military is good enough to be able to severly hurt anyone who dares to declare war on us (ie. take at least half their lands).
Pretty much my DG1 policy, except potentially declaring war on Abe and Cleo ourselves.
CivGeneral May 29, 2003, 05:31 PM I will ensure that the Legonare Program will be efficant enough to pop out legonares for our war efforts for THe War on Abe and Cleo. Mostly my policy is the same as DG2, though we would be declaring the war.
Eklektikos May 29, 2003, 05:32 PM Indeed I have, but that would be a "pre-emptive, offensive war for defensive purposes" rather than a "defensive war". A defensive war to me would be one in which we are not the explicit or implicit aggressor ;)
EDIT: Heinous x-post, originally directed at Dis :o

ie. what the Roman philosphy was which caused them to expand so much...
"Those Barbarians over there might attack us, so let's conquer them, and gain their catapult technology as well, then across the river at the other end of their empire is another country which might attack us....."

Hey I'm not against the idea by any means. Hell, I'm probably in favour of pursuing it more aggressively than either you or CG are, given your apparent desire to put on the brakes after taking down Egypt and America ;)
Octavian X May 29, 2003, 05:53 PM I vote Falcon02. :)
Cpt Kaos May 29, 2003, 11:05 PM I went with Falcon02.
Bacon King May 30, 2003, 02:39 PM Both candidates are very good and either one will be a good military leader, so I abstain.
Bootstoots May 30, 2003, 04:23 PM All citizens should vote CG for military leader, he deserves another term, as he did a very good job last term.
Civanator May 30, 2003, 09:08 PM wow. 18-17 with Falcon in the lead... a very close race!
Falcon02 May 30, 2003, 09:27 PM I think this may turn out to be the closest Executive election finish in Demogame history.
Falcon02 May 31, 2003, 05:28 PM It just occured to me but... what happens if we get a Tie? :)
Bootstoots May 31, 2003, 05:36 PM You do it all over again!
Noldodan May 31, 2003, 06:12 PM Come on CG, you can do it! VOTE CG!
Donovan Zoi May 31, 2003, 09:27 PM It is well into June 1st GMT. Shouldn't these elections be closed now?
Tally as of this post:
Falcon02 - 20
CivGeneral -19
Abstain - 3
A well-fought race by both candidates, but we need to call this one.
CivGeneral May 31, 2003, 09:32 PM Before the Elections comes to a close, I would like to present a little humor picture :)
