Here is my Trade Leader speech:
I would like to be elected to the post of Trade Leader. I believe that being Trade Leader will be a good experience for me, as it is probably one of the less active departments, especially at this point, but I think it will be good for someone with my experience level. I can handle the job well, and would certainly do as well as the other candidates. I have no Trade Department experience yet, but I will certainly work to build it. I have served one term as the Culture Deputy, and I am a PSC board nominee. I also have two terms of Public Defender experience. In short, vote bootstoots for Trade Leader, I promise to do the best possible job!

On the contrary, Trade can be a VERY active department. Checking resources, trade links, and every trade possible which each civ. I even intent to insist on checking trades every turn.

It most certainly can be very active (it's just that it wasn't this term, and probably into next term). I will make sure to check trades whenever possible and to be the most active in the department that I can be.

Hmm, there seems to be an organized attempt to keep me from running for this office. :)
