View Full Version : Napoleon - Imperial Guard - Grenadiers 1st regiment
LouLong May 29, 2003, 01:24 PM Here is the Imperial Grenadier v1.0
It includes a readme, icon pcx, default, run, death and attack FLCs.
There are two versions (hopefully I have not mixed them :p ).
One is with Civ-specific colors (CS), the other with no civ-specific colors but with real French uniforms.
For those who wonder, it is simply copy/paste based on Smoking Mirror's Flintlock
Civ-specific version

No civ-specific animation (dark blue uniform)

excellent work!
Nemesis Rex May 29, 2003, 05:02 PM It's very nice. But you didn't make a fortify FLC. This unit needs one even more than most because he attacks from the kneeling position.
Costa e Silva May 29, 2003, 05:04 PM Ahhhhh!
This is it! Perfect, This unit is what i need for place between second generation musketsman and rifleman in my tech tree.
Thank you a lot!
Wath about made his Russians or British oponents?
Great job!

Eer, I don't think he does but I will take a look. If he needs one I will do it but not now, I just want to break away from him for a while...

Obligado !
About his opponents :
- British : actually two have already been done
Scot guardsman

British rifleman

- Russia and others : I have started a thread in the main forum (Loulong's previews) where I mention the units I will try to make about that time because I agree new units are especially interesting if you have a bunch of them at the same time for the different countries. It is yet more or less a wish list but I will try to make it through.

No, the kneeling is included in the attack : he kneels, he fires, he stands.
It could have been better with a fortify, but it's not mandatory. The best may be to cut the attack animation in three: a part where he kneels (make it a fortify), the part where he actually fire (keep it as the attack), and use the part where he stands as a victory?

Actually the "rifleman" is a grenadier of the guard. A real rifleman would be the base you have used to make the French grenadier. He has a definite English looks. Just use red as a civ color for England.
aaglo May 30, 2003, 03:31 AM Cool ;) :goodjob:
This looks very good :)
Lynx-Eyed Jun 01, 2003, 08:40 AM W-O-W!!!!:D :D :D

I agree but since that unit is labelled that way, I gave it the same name to make research and finding easier.
Thanks to all who like it !
R8XFT Jun 17, 2003, 04:47 AM Thanks for doing a really good unit!!

zulu9812 Jul 02, 2003, 03:58 PM does anyone else think that the unit bobbles around a lot?
Ossric Jul 02, 2003, 05:49 PM can you put the pediafiles in a zip please, i can't save as pcx.
Shady Jul 02, 2003, 08:26 PM if you can link me to a free winzip or winrar or something i can do that.
i don't think you need to save it though. i think a window should pop up once the d/l is complete and then you just copy and paste it to wherever you need it (don't forget to rename if you got a different name)
Ossric Jul 08, 2003, 11:53 AM you can download the free winzip at www.tucows.com
Nemesis Rex Jul 08, 2003, 03:10 PM I have created a fortify FLC by chopping out pieces of the Attack FLC. There is also a new attack FLC where he stays kneeling while firing.
