Lately I've been getting a message when I shut down my computer that says 'virtual memory is low..Creating more memory' Or something to that effect.
That means to me that 40 Gigs of hard drive memory is rapidly being chewed up.
Like most men I eschewed any reading and after 5 minutes of tutorial launched into my first game. Needless to say I played a lot of 'junk' before I started to figure out how to survive. Annnnnnd.............the auto save function was on for a while.
Question: how do I delete from the 'saved game' file. Thanks for any help......... :confused:

Just like you would delete any other file on your computer.

Use Windows Explorer, navigate to "C:\Program Files\Infogrames\Civ3\Saves" and delete away. Autosaves are in a subfolder under that, but there shouldn't be more than about 10 autosaves, anyway. ;)

It means that not only is his RAM filled (from running a buch of apps or not having much) but he's also getting into his virtual memory which resides on his hard drive. So, either expanding his RAM or removing saves and other files from the PC (temporary internet files and other junk) will fix the problem. So, I'd go after both problems, but running:
Start-> Programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> Clean Up
would also do wonders for helping.
