This is definately an informational poll, as, other than my suggestion that we might do this, there was no real discussion. My reasoning is that, while halting settler production to build a temple will slow our settler output down temporarily, it will speed it up in the long run, since the temple will expand Penguinadua's borders, giving it access to the cattle. Access to this tile should greatly improve this city's settler making capacity. But, like I said, it will slow down our expansion temporarily.
This poll will run until the next turn chat.

If we are continuing the Temple in Gorina, then we will be totally halting expansion. I am not totally against this, but I would like Penguinadua help us to secure the grasslands southwest of Gorina so that both cities can move on to better things, like the war effort.
I am not going to vote against the governor here after missing the discussion so it's your call, Fanatica. I will vote Abstain

As my current nomination for Mayor of Penguinadua I took a very close look at the situation.
I think the question is mis-formulated. Yes of course we want a temple in Penguinadua, but do we want / need it now? No. The cattle will only be really useful when the tile is improved by irrigation and roads, or will be in a short time. Since we have far too few workers (7 for 10 cities) and the irrigated lands are too far away it's not beneficial yet. When we compare it to our current war-time needs or our current expansion-position I think it would not be wise to choose a temple over military or workers.
If we choose military we help conquer Egypt. If we choose workers, which then improve the Penguinadua-tiles, we help Penguinadua develop into a settler factory. I haven't done any calculations on this, it's just my experience talking.
Either we focus on making Penguinadua a proper settler-factory by prioritising enough workers to this and build the temple, or we focus on different goals for Penguinadua. The poll-question is too vague and too simply put for me to vote yes or no, so I abstained.

I agree. We still need to expand, and yet, wage a war at the same time.
