Why not add a bit of spice to the mix and head for the wonders of Space and them flying shiny things that are big as mountans that shoot out light ;).

hmm... you saying we should make a Stargate Mode for Civ III to use in the Demogame.... hmm....

there was already a vote on this subject even before the game startet. Space race won clearly. I dont see the point of rediscussing it if there arent a huge amount of people who will vote differnt...

I don't think we should have any goal in mind. Just play the game doing the best we can and have a good time with it. Victory in one sort or another will happen if we play a good game.

Anything except for domination / conquest.

I think the only victory path that need seriously affect our actions at the present time would be Diplomatic. If we want to keep a good reputation and increase our chances of winning out on a UN vote the first time round we should do our best to avoid auto-razing egyptian cities if we are planning on taking the fight to them. Otherwise I don't think this is a decision we really need to make yet, whereas the manner in which we intend to play this game is.

I would like to conquer a good chunk of land at the beginning, and then concentrate on domestic issues to develop our economy and technology, eventually culminating in a spaceship victory.

IMO it's too early to tell, but i would like to aim for a histograph victory, so we can play the game out all the way to 2050 AD.

It would take a lot of time but it would be cool to play far into the modern era..
