View Full Version : T62 H1 Tank
Hunter Jun 09, 2003, 02:13 PM This unit was used to finetune my shadows however I love it and hope it can be of some use to you.
So come on down to Hunters used Russian goods.
The name for this unit comes from the Russian T-62 tank however it is not a true T62. I designed it to resemble an upgraded russian tank (t55, t62...) since many modern nations still use old Russian tanks with "after market upgrades". However since there is no standard upgrade package I just made it look like it has ceramic steel plates on the outside (a common upgrade).
Anyway this tank is a must for any former Soviet Allies or just who ever you think would have been.
PS the H1 stands for Hunter 1 (my upgrade ;) )

hetairoi22 Jun 09, 2003, 02:19 PM Looks great! Could it be used as a flavor unit for Middle Eastern nations (Babylon, Persia, Arab Kingdoms, Egypt etc...)?
eriq2 Jun 09, 2003, 02:35 PM I love your units keep up the good work.
embryodead Jun 09, 2003, 02:38 PM it's great, and yep - its' desert colours obviously make it a perfect modern armor replacement for babylon & persia.
Wolfhart Jun 09, 2003, 02:39 PM Hunter, you've done it again! :goodjob:
I've downloaded this sweet little metal babe, and took it out for a spin against the evil, EVIL azteks. Looks really good; since you started doing shadows I can't find anything important to criticize. It's just too sweet to put down, I especially love the gunblast! If I was forced to be really nitpicking I would mention that it's not perfectly centered. But it's a neglible fault; this unit is so good-looking and so usable that I predict a glorious future for Hunter's Used Russian Goods :D
Thank you Sir, and God bless Canada!
:viking:
Risbinroch Jun 09, 2003, 02:52 PM Looking very nice..! Haven't tried it in game yet, but I rest assure that it is high-quality as the rest of your units are. You haven't considered doing other color version aswell though?
And just a quick question: Are you still working on the Matilda?
Oh, and another, have you looked at the thread in the main C&C forum about these pre-war armored vehicles? You haven't considered making one of them...
Hunter Jun 09, 2003, 02:56 PM I just noticed that it is off center and if anyone knows how to fix that please let me know (scince I dont and have not wish to completely reanimate it to corect it). But Im glad you like it. :)
Im useing it for the middle east Russia and african nations.
Ossric Jun 09, 2003, 03:23 PM looks good, but if you compare it to the firaxis armor, you can see that there's a shadow missing. (gun on tank)
Hunter Jun 09, 2003, 03:39 PM I have included a shadow for the main gun just like the Firaxis Modern Armor. If you take her for a spin in game and in Flicster you can see it. However it is a narow barril.
unscratchedfoot Jun 09, 2003, 06:02 PM Thanks, can't wait to fire it up. :)
Shady Jun 09, 2003, 06:22 PM It looks very generic and could be used by pretty much any nation that doesn't have 60's, 70's, 80's tanks
Lynx-Eyed Jun 10, 2003, 05:42 AM Nice unit. Good work!
Pawel Jun 12, 2003, 06:28 AM As I already mentioned in the Leopard 1 thread, this is really a nice unit! There is, however, one small detail I discovered that could be improved. The civilopedia icons have 24-bit color instead of 8-bit, and my version of ptw finds this very confusing. :crazyeye: A quick fix?
General Kohl Jan 07, 2004, 07:27 PM Nice work:goodjob: can i use this in my mod?
Tepez2447 Jan 07, 2004, 10:04 PM I've noticed you've brought back a few threads...thus again..no reviving dead threads is bad...
Hunter Jan 08, 2004, 10:04 AM Not to help keep this dead thread open but Thanx :)
I had planed to redo it before christmas but as always (or so it seems) some thing came up. So as soon as I finish my mod I am redoing this the Leopard 1,2a,2b and a tiger tank. But my mod comes first.
Anyway please let this thread rest in pease untill I update the unit Thank you. :)
