Hey, I'm happily married  so that's NOT why I ask!
Just thought it would be interesting to see the m/f ratio. I've got a feeling there are a lot more girls/women playing Civ than any other game I've played.

IIRC last poll on General Discussions showed a 13-15% women. But it might be different in the GOTM community.
I'm male BTW...

and married ...

happily ...

My female co-workers are sad about that ...

*"bullsh*t!" says the crowd*.

Also male. No females on the forum as yet it seems :)

Saw it a couple of times today, so I googled for it and what I conclude it must mean is: If I Recall Correctly

Thanks mudfoot. I tried guessing instead of googling, not very succesful...

Only 1 female so far, that must be me. I'm happily married too. No kid yet, but we are working on that. Now, you see why I don't have much time to play Civ lately.;)

Oh no, commodified will be disappointed.

Suprise - more boys than girls.

Jun 13, 2003, 10:25 AM
.. and now there are 2. I already have kids, so lots of time play civ...
Seriously though they are 10 and 7 now so they are starting to do things by themselves, so free time is on the increase :).

We're both computer junkies, spending most nights online after the kids go to bed. Can't seem to get her interested in Civ though. Or Ultima Online, the other game I play. She plays Heroes of Might and Magic, (if you can call it playing, she uses the cheat codes :D).

I've often been asked what planet I'm from. But I do seem to be biologically compatible as a human male.

Although male, I was mistaken for female in the chat room.

The reason? Because I could understand the install instructions for GOTM!

:D I had to laugh.

In the poll results there is one entry for "Self Producing Alien Entity". Is that cracker??????

You see...there is a different between boys and girls. For boys, they usually just zip down, do their things, then zip up. " Done! It's nice knowing you, I have to go now..." That would explain why it only took you about 3 minutes...and you were right back onto your civ gaming!;) For girls, we want romance, foreplay, and a lot of curdling after that.;)

All I want to know is who voted
Selfproducing alien entity

Moonsinger

IIRC, if you are a selfproducing alien entity, it means that you are gay. I guess it is the new term that net people use nowadays.

Well, I didn't know that, but I'm not into that so you may very well be right. In which case my effort to add a little humour to the thread hit on a very weird coincidence.

I *had* to vote "selfproducing alien entity", as there was no entry for "Engineer"... ;)

Male, anyway. Not married, not gay, not even selfproducing. Quite a nice pal, actually, if you get what I mean...

Male with a Civ (in fact all computer games) loathing spouse and a completely hectic work and volunteer life... bummer... it makes completing Gotm difficult.

RufRydyr

Divorced male and looking.....for human female.

Also, not from this planet. I'm from Uranus.

According to National Geographic there are 22 moons circling Uranus.

Arrrrr, as if you couldn't have guessed, male. Um, I guess I express one side of my personality when I'm not dating through civ.... maybe you've noticed women don't appreciate being conquered one by one until none are left? Can you guess where I've been all these months, and why I'm back? And where I'll go...

Female number 5 checking in. Married, no kids. Trying to get hubby to play GOTM. He plays @ regent now.

The poll is up to 8 females now. 3 must be silent onlookers ...maybe because Moonsinger says we like to be "curdled"./jk :)

Male with an understanding girlfriend (she lets me play for a few hours every so often). Since she has an addictive personality, she wants to avoid all things civ (including me sometimes).
