View Full Version : small wonders with 0 costs
nagelfetisch Jun 15, 2003, 09:10 PM after adding 50 units, etc.to the great DYP mod,i found myself still bored with civ3 ptw.
What about adding small wonders which cost 0 and add nothing, except, for example,a storyline,or just more graphics, showing the newest researched tech.
With 0 costs,it would be available in 1 turn.
You could name it vision 1-?,or warrior code vision,....
just an idea.what do you think?
The Last Conformist Jun 15, 2003, 11:18 PM Doesn't this belong in the Creations and Customization forum?
nagelfetisch Jun 15, 2003, 11:27 PM don`t know,i always choose the wrong one.if that`s true,it will be moved anyway,so what sense does your message make?
Penguin Glory Jun 15, 2003, 11:28 PM Yes, it should be in C&C, but I like your idea, it sounds interesting!
nagelfetisch Jun 15, 2003, 11:30 PM thanks.SOMEBODY MOVE THIS!
Moved
nagelfetisch Jun 16, 2003, 02:03 AM Perhaps like the books in SMAC,or linked to certain resources;camels,iron,...example:you finally get hold of some iron, click on 'ironsplash' and next turn,a wondersplash comes up telling you something like:'finally we will be able to build'....with a picture of a mine behind.
of course it would be better if it'd show automatically, well, perhaps in civ4,firaxis,can you hear me?
or call it desert scripts,or something like that, buildable when camels are available, representing written down experiences of your civilization with deserts and camels and give it 1 culture.
if ancient civilizations wouldn't have written down every stupidity of everyday life,we wouldn't know how they used to live.
Neomega Jun 16, 2003, 04:18 AM I've been lloking for a way to add storyline... that is a great idea.
I think the only problem would be the number of buildings is limited to 256 if if remember correctly, so your storyline could not be unlimited.
nagelfetisch Jun 16, 2003, 04:30 AM damned!ok,so let's count,how many buildings....
i believe,it would add more in-game-depth,too.
and best is that you can link it not only to resources, but also to buildings.making the graphics for these additions will keep me satisfied anyway, even without playing the game
