It should be realistic for conquests...

I'd like to see it where we can renmane resources like we can units in PTW. Keeping them the same for building requirements but having them naamed like Iraqi Oil or Texas Oil.

And my next request (kind of ties into the first) is that we can edit Resources for how long they last. Instead of the random disappearcance set by numbers, how about

editing by # of Turns it had a road to it and connected to a city

resources disappearing with a certain tech (several options like slaves with Emancipation, some ancient resources that are abundant now like Dyes)

suggestions????

Resource quality?
you may have gems but the aztetcs have better gems therefore their gems cost more.

They should also make the "trade value" of resources customizable so that what the AI is willing to pay may be increased or reduced. Is it hardcoded that the AI will pay alot for oil? Or is it based on the number units that require oil?

I don't think he meant quality of the products but quantity. I like that idea.
I would like luxuries to become obsolete as well.
Overseas colonization followed that path, ex Portuguese went first for the Gold of "Sudan" (actually Gold Coast in Africa) then for the slaves then for the spices in India/indonesia then for silk in China...
