Sorry if this has already been requested. I think adding a new era ( a future era ) would make this a very worthy expansion pack.

I don't know each era has its units, wonders and improvements.

Well, they can add the post modern era. Academics, artists and people in those areas commonly refer to the time AFTER the 1950's as POST MODERN.

I actually suggested before that they should rework the modern era, add in new techs and new units there and delay the whole spacerace to POST MODERN.

My idea is basically such that the last new units will be discovered in the modern era. Post modern will almost entirely be devoted to researching techs for the space race as well as other techs and wonders not directly related to warfare. The UN should be moved here or moved to the end of the Modern tech tree

This would tend to draw out games a little more and allow some of the modern units to get some more play time. Radar artillery, Aegies Cruisers, Stealth fighter/bomber comes way too late. I usually win or lose well before those units enter the picture and its a big disadvantage for the American Civ with their super late UU. A new age after modern would make the American UU more time on the field.

We need a future era every other strategy game does! It would help Germany and especially USA with their really late unique units.

If another era was added, what would you like to see for advances? I'd suggest that most should allow for the building of happiness/tax improvements, rather than units, since it's already hard to make use of modern age units as they come so late. Adding another era, say from 2050 to 2150 would permit a more in depth use of the late game units (AEGIS, F15, etc.). I would have the Strategic Missile defense come much later (we have nothing approaching that capability now), and have mobile ABM units available with Smart Weapons, with a 40-50% chance of hitting nukes. UN should be revamped also - diplo victory at this stage of the game makes me laugh. UN could provide the owner with ability to intercede in foreign conflict and otherwise manipulate world affairs. Diplo victory should be changed to Political Victory, and should be linked to both world dominance and the construction of several extremely expensive small wonders that cause other peoples to embrace the political and economic ideals of your civilization.

I'd like the idea of a future era but only if you could turn it off when you wanted.

It would be nice for a near future era and spliting the Middle Ages to the Dark Ages, the Renaissance, and the Age of Enlightenment.

a Future Era would be cool, with new units (like Mobile Infantry from Starship Troopers) and advances and buildings.

The idea of future units, tech ect is actually a spotty one-ie what do u add? what will be invented? who knows.... played CTP and the stuff in there was ridiculous. However, why not add
some tech advances in the modern, ie -Space Shuttle,
Sattelites, Space Station, Hover landing craft, to name a few. These exsist at least.
I like how they made the future techs unknown and one just gets
points. Realism (or its attempt) is more interesting to me than
fiction-except for one idea i read in here long ago....a Time Machine- that if u build it and use it u can go back to any point in ur civs history and start again knowing all that u know about other civs ect. (Instead of the reload cheat) maybe even a random throw back....

I like the idea of a futuristic era, but only if it's in a scenario. So perhaps adding more eras or deleting them should be an option in the editor.

One of the best things about this game is that it's pretty close to real life.

I think we will be able to add eras because in the some senarios there a diferent eras, stone age, iron age i think it is going to be a feature in conquest
