Ok...first time post and I've scoured the forum for a topic like this but haven't seen it here. I recently updated to patch 1.21f and also updated my Hercules Prophet II MMX video card (Nvida graphics) drivers. I changed the hardware setting in my display properties but little change. The Military Advisor screen is just awfully slow. What makes things worse is I have yet to discover espionage and I fear when I do the screen will come to a screeching halt. Am I the only person here who experiences this? Is there a fix?

P3 833mhz
256 mb ram
Hercules Prophet II MMX 32mb
Windows 2000
DirectX version 9.x

If you are running PTW, then you are experiencing a known bug - the military advisor runs very slow.

I was under the impression that this was fixed in 1.21f (mine seems to run fine, where it was terrible in 1.14f), but others have made the same complaint lately.

Ok...good to know it's actually official as I had not found it in any "official" list so far. I am very hesitant about uninstalling and reinstalling PTW as I made numerous changes with the editor to every aspect of the game...and since there is no convenient way to print out the changes I made, I don't want to spend my weekend doing Print Screens.

maybe that should be a request for civ4 or even the next patch. a simple text file showing changes made to the original.
