This is a confirmation poll for Octavian X as Deputy Governor of Aventine. This poll will be open for 48 hours.

I voted No because, according to custom and tradition, the person placing second in the elections (AJ in this case) becomes deputy. This is how it worked last demogame, and deputies were appointed only if an office went uncontested in the election process. Also, as the Judiciary has been ruling against appointments and in favor of candidates who placed lower in the elections taking office if there is a vacancy, so I would imagine that they'd rule against this if it were brought up for review, which I will probably do.

NOTE: This is nothing against Oct, if he were being appointed because Plexus was chosen with no contest, I would support him.

I am afraid that Article D prevents direct appointment for this position.
