I haven't tried it myself, but it *might* run under WineX.
(I'm considering moving this to Tech Support.)

VMWare is another to consider looking into. I've heard nothing but praise for it, but you'd need to have plenty of RAM and CPU cycles to burn.

I agree, Ek. VMWare is the way to go, if you can afford it.

if u can afford it
do you mean by the price of the software, or the cost to the computers' resources?
I got an xp2100 with 1GB ram and radeon 9000, so i think small or standard maps should be ok:cool:
Thanks for your help, i'll look into your suggestions

I'm referring to price. ;)
VMWare is probably the best OS-emulator available for Linux (or any other system that I've seen), and its price reflects that.
Sounds like you have sufficient resources to run most anything you might need.

I did get PTW & CIV3 running under WineX (http://www.transgaming.com). Pls. note that you can not use it under WineX for multiplayer games (except PBEM and Hotseat).
My machine was 2x P3 550MHz (SMP) 128MB with old GeforceMX card. It worked but it was slow... I would recommend lot faster machine for this purpose :p
