I was using my civ3 cd in the DVD drive and there was a loud bang now I can't get the cd out so Im guessing its shattered to pieces. Ive tried manualy ejecting forcing it open but it just won't can someone with ne technical experiance plz help me :(

hhhmmm, does when you push the eject button does the light even flash? maybe you need to take it to a shop to get it repaired

Yes it does rep0ond just doesn't open :( calling out someone to fix it tommorows as my computer is kinda only 9 days old ffs

I had to do this once!! Turn OFF your computer. take out you DVD drive. then get a screwdriver and unscrew all the screws on the bottom panel of the DVD drive. remember to touch metal at all times so that your static electricity doesn't damage the fragile parts of the DVD drive. take off the metal plate, then pick up the pieces of the CD, then screw the whole thing back together again. BTW, if it is the CD that is broken, you are entitled to a new one by mailing in the proof of purcase, the broken CD and some money (i don't know the ammount).
