what? you mean stack movements? J for all units in the stack, or Control-J for all units of that type

sorry. i did not get any documentation with the game. but i do have another question. how about mass upgrade feature rather than hitting the upgrade button 500 times? 'upgrade all' infantry to mech infantry and so forth.

take it easy with the acusations! put the flame gun away, man! my little brother gave me the game after he couldn't figure it out. i didn't even get the jewel case to it either, i guess this make me a criminal?

actually, it does - personally, I think it's redciculous. But, by law, you are technically a criminal. ;)

what is your problem? menstruating perhaps?

I am pretty sure it is within his brother legal rights to give away his copy of the game as long as he didn't make a copy of it for himself. No laws broken, no criminal liability.

If its his brothers, then he should have access to the manual... they do live in the same house (correct?)

we don't know that. I don't live in the same house as any of my brothers or my sister. In fact for the vast majority of the year none of my siblings live in the same house as I am out of school, three of them are at different universities, and the youngest is still at home.

The letter of the law is that buying a computer game grants one license, for one person, to install it on one machine. Yes, i know it's silly, but that is the law. The publishers of games take the view that if you want to play their game you should buy it, not borrow it off a mate.

crpngdth, I was just being pernickety to try and be funny. Subtlety is obviously lost on you. Perhaps you thought asking if I was menstruating demonstrated your sophisticated and grown-up sense of humour. Well, Mr Fifteen-year-old, I certainly won't forget you...

But you are allowed to sell it second hand or give it away. The catch is you can't give it away and keep a copy for yourself. You have the right to tranfer your interest in the game to another person either through a gift or sale.

Nder: I believe if you check most EULAs (certainly all of Microsoft's) you are not allowed to do that either. The only "permissable" thing is to buy it, and give it unopened to someone else as a gift.

(Yes, I agree it's stupid, and I doubt it would really hold up in court. It is spelled out like that in the EULAs to give them something to hang criminal charges onto pirates, etc.)

Edit: crpngdth: would you please enable PMs (at least) in your User Control Panel? I can accept disabling email, but if I want to talk privately with a poster and not have to announce it over the forums, PMs/email comes in mighty handy. ;)

Yeah, those EULA's aren't really worth much.

you may give away software so as long as all backup copies are destroyed and the software is not in use on two machines at the same time. you may also sell the software so as long as all original documentation was transferred as well. i am familiar with copyright laws as i/my company hold several registered copyrights and have had those rights infringed upon.

xen: my 12 year old brother lives with my mother. despite what zulu would claim as another attempt at humor, i am substantially older than 15.

zulu: apparently your failed attempt at wit was lost upon more than just me- personally i think it ridiculous to say, "i was just joking."

padma: pm is now enabled.
