I think this is an unofficial election in that it doesn't elect a leader, so I believe it would go here unless the mods choose to move it to the main forum.

Question:

If a mayor is elected deputy, then does the new deputy give up mayorship?

No, they keep it. I am still mayor of Skunkworks in Esquiline Province, despite being governor of Quirnial.

One can have one 'leader' position. They are Prez, VP, FA minister, Domestic minister, General, Trade minister, Culrure minister, the Science Minister, and the Govs.

Deputies of the said positions aren't leader positions, but are official positions. I don't think there is a rule for being a deputy of more than one department, but I wouldn't go for it anyway.

Mayorship, Census Leader, etc... are non- official positions. Have as many as one wants. I am the Foreign Affairs minister, member of the board, and mayor of New Jedina. I am also the Nobility manager in the rpg.

You can be deputy of multiple departments, it isn't "official" yet (new laws may be passed in the near future defining it) but it is considered a semi-official position, which is why I am holding an election for it, as the Deputy takes over in the leader's absence and therefore it has been ruled by the Judiciary that it must be filled in elections as it has the power to take over for a leader.
