View Full Version : Roll Call - DG3 - Term 3
Cyc Jul 17, 2003, 02:38 PM The MSDG has initiated a roll call to determine the number of active players posting and/or lurking in their forums. This is a great idea and I feel we should do the same now in DG3. The Nation of Fanatikou in the MSDG decided to run their roll call after their Term 3 elections, which have just finished. This roll call will run for 7 days, allowing all participants in this forum to register. It will end before the coming election nominations start, so a true picture of our standard crowd should be shown in the results.
Please post an entry below stating your name and your current satisfaction level in this Demogame (happy, content, unhappy). Also click on (vote) above in the HERE! option. This will give us a running count of people involved in DG3 as they register. Thanks.
:D This poll is informational and will run for 7 days. :D

When I first heard about this concept I thought it would be interesting, but now it seems a little boring.. The lack of a clear and comprehensive set of rules and especially the recent removal of turnchats is hurting it, imo.

Bootstoots Jul 17, 2003, 05:32 PM I would like the PSC to review this, it seems to have a biased question:

Cyc Jul 19, 2003, 12:53 PM Someone posted here, but forgot to click the "HERE!" option. I'm guessing it was burger King, conehead, or Falc.
Bootstoots Jul 19, 2003, 03:02 PM Burger King  His real name is bacon king.
And, unfortunately, ........ only has 1 vote so far :(.
Ok, I'll stop spamming now. :D
Bacon King Jul 19, 2003, 03:47 PM yes, my name is Bacon King (notice I had TF capitalize it.)
I was the one that didn't vote "HERE!" as I was at my grandmothers (for some reason cant vote on polls there) and now I'm home and I just voted.

Siegmund Jul 21, 2003, 07:04 PM Still here, still reading, still responding to most of the polls. 'Unhappy' isn't quite the right word, 'disenchanted' is more like it. I tried to be very active at the beginning of the game, and sorta got tired of the Shaitan-Chieftess Old Boy's Club, who couldn't do anything other than laugh and say "gee, DG1 all over again" every time I opened my mouth. My intention was to get comfortable with the traditions, and be more active each term as I got to know more of the fellow players. But after the oops-our-golden-age-just-started war, and some of the things that came after it, I had the feeling it was the sort of game I would have killed and started over had it come up in one of my single-player games, and never quite got the enthusiasm for it back after that. The recent fuss over laws and not liking presidential actions, by contract, seemed almost .... almost like democracy!
Civanator Jul 21, 2003, 09:54 PM Here and kind of unhappy.
If you are a little bored you should join the RPG! I am willing to give my land to people as Feudal Vassals to start of the new players! Hurry before I totally stop trying to save the RPG!!! ;)

What, lucky you speak German? Lucky you're here? ;)
Or is Babel Fish translating it wrong? ;)
Siegmund Jul 22, 2003, 06:44 PM Babelfish is translating it wrong. Glück does mean (good) luck, and -lich does act like -ly usually, but glücklich = happy. To say "I am lucky" is "ich habe Glück." Idioms, wonderful things, aren't they? Bad luck has its own word, Pech, too.
Cyc Jul 24, 2003, 03:04 PM Well, as of now this poll is closed. I count 23 citizens including bootstoots vote for the ....... Option. Someone did click on the HERE! Option, but did not post below, so they don't count.
People who did not show up here that I'm sure can be counted as regulars are eyrei, Rik Meleet, GBM, maybe Veera, Goonie, and a couple of others. So we are still under 30 citizens total. At least actively.
