Sorry if this is an inappropriate thread, but I have to ask: Is Apolyton.net down? I haven't been able to visit the site or forums.

Yep, it's down alright. There is now a link to the 'poly "refugee zone" or somesuch (aka Imarton.net).

It started yesterday in the middle of the day Pacific Time, first just the forums, but now it's all down. No clue as to what's going on.

mwhahaha! CFCs plan is complete! we are now the most power civ site on earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seems like either they're having problems with their URL, not an expert on servers, but i don't think this is a server problem that poly has. Maybe they lost their domain name...CFC had that problem a few months ago, i think it only lasted like a day or 2 for us, i think this is day 3 for apolyton

Yea. That site seems to have alot of performance problems. I would say my experience is that it is very slow or unavailable (not as often) about 75% of the time.

Then I guess you should just stay here :)

Hmm... didn't used to be like that so often.

I liked it because it covered a lot of Civ-style games in one place... ah, well.

sealman - you're right ;)

Actually, I probably will be because of what I said above and I just joined the Democracy Game 3.

This is a cool spot for Civ news and such... but I like Apolyton because they also cover RoN, GalCiv, etc... but I suppose I'll lurk around here while I wait for the new XP to come out. :)

Now, Apolyton seems to be back up. It seems to work on the computer at home, but not on my computer at college. Whatever, it doesn't matter anyway.

They are often busy with too many people logging on - everything slows down and I often get wrong redirected urls especailly for multipaged threads.
