This is an informational poll on whether to allow public accusations as part of a PI. If they were allowed, they would follow under the following guideline:
-No further discussion by a citizen on the PI is allowed until the PI discussion thread is opened.
This poll will be open for 24 hours.

I voted yes. I would like accusations to be made by open post. I feel that a citizen has a right to accuse another citizen of a rule violation rather than have to use the Judiciary to present it. Of course, it would also be allowed to make an accusation by PM to a JA or a moderator, but I feel that citizens should be able to make open accusations.

Once again I ask for you attention. once again, I ask for you to consider the options and reasons before voting.
The PI is the ultimate form of citizen control. Through it, we force the elected officials to respect the laws we have created. Through it, we punish those who violate the law.
And yet, the process often starts with the public accusation followed by thread after thread of accusations. Of anger and frustration. Of people expressing disgust with the process and with the public venting of anger.
I ask you, what is better for the game? A public accusation, where anger spills out to all? Or a private message, where the investigation can be done calmly, allowing the evidence to be gathered and presented in a logical and reasonable manner?
The private process does not mean that everything is hidden, far from it. Teh Judiciary is required to post when an accusation is made, and when a decision about the charge has been made.
Please, consider what is best for the game and for all citizens.
Again, my thanks for listening.
