Parmenion Aug 20, 2003, 11:50 AM All amusing, but I can't understand why this thread is allowed whilst the gay jokes one is closed by the mods.
eg: My friend Sken (Thai) saw this thread and was really annoyed at the sweeping generalisations made towards orientals and their inability to speak English correctly - I told him it was a joke and to lighten up.
Sken is also gay and when he read that the gay joke thread was closed he was annoyed because there was no prejudice in there, just plain humour. After all we have jokes that are about heterosexual sex, and yet they aren't banned.
Humour is just humour, if it's offensive to anyone then the thread should be closed. Whilst there were some people in the gay-joke thread that said they thought others would find it offensive, I don't recall anyone saying that they personally found it offensive.
Just my two cents (and Sken's two baht for what they're worth).

Actually, it's not. It's from Britian, hence the liberal use of the word "bloke" and others like "shopping trolley" for shopping cart. Plus all the characters are fake. Though some of the contests they come up with are amusing.
Japanese TV in general is still much better than anything in the U.S. anyways. Except for Fox's sunday night lineup. :)

Serutan Aug 20, 2003, 11:30 PM And one mustn't forget the great Chinese symphony, "Tu Ning"
