Does any of you know if Italy has ever had a territorial demand on Cyprus?

Did they try to get it during it WWI or did they demand it in WWII?

as far as i know, the only time italians were in cyprus or tried to get it they were legionaries:)

I'm not aware of any claim or attempts to conquer Cyprus by the Italians.

i think by the end of the 19th century the british had their protective paws around cyrus, not offically theirs but off limits to others

On a further note, Cyprus was of strategic importance in WWII, and I'm sure Italy and Germany would have loved to gain control of it.
