If there's anything else you think would be usefully displayed in this first post alongside all the above gubbins, please do make your suggestion in this thread so that I can decide whether or not it's feasible and sufficiently useful to warrant whatever extra effort it involves :mischief:

Please also post any general trade related questions or suggestions in here.

First post updated. Let me know if the lines in the section using [code] tags are too long for your screen, and if so I'll look at altering the format to suit better.

No worries. In english that would be:

The nation in question will give us their World Map in exchange for either Gunpowder, or Banking, or Horses, or Iron, or Dyes, or our World Map, or our Territory map plus 4 gold up front, or just 8 gold up front, or any combination of the above.

I'm sure you can see why I prefer to reduce it to shorthand :D

Wow - you really nailed the AI this past turn Eklektikos - nice job on finding good deals!

It looks like we will lose 2 luxuries next turn chat - any idea on how likely it will be to renegotiate those deals to our benefit?

Discussion thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61349) has finally been posted.

I'm afraid I must also announce that as of this turnchat I shall be resigning my position as Trade Minister and retiring from the game entirely. I've been finding that what was once an extremely enjoyable passtime for me has now become something of a chore - more due to the length of time that I have been playing than to any complaints regarding the state of the game. In essence, guilty though I feel for abandoning my post mid-term, I'm no longer really having fun doing this and have come to the conclusion that life is too short to spend time playing a game that I no longer enjoy.

I must however say that, for most of the time that I have been a part of this game and this community, it has been a pleasure to participate and to get to know you all. Hopefully I'll still encounter some of you from time to time in the course of the multi-site game ;)

Ave atque vale.

I'm requesting that we trade ToG to the Greeks in exchange for Military Tradition so we can upgrade our Cavalry next turn of the upcoming turn chat.

Sorry to hear that, Ek. You would be the fourth hardcore vet that we have lost this "season"(after Shaitan, CT, and Cyc). :(

It is understandable though, and as with Cyc, I will not try to coerce you to stay. Good luck, and please keep in touch. :)

Octavian X,

Congrats! You are the new Trade Minister. Please PM Siegmund to let him know that he is the new Trade Deputy.

Unfortunatlely, this transition comes at a bad time as we only have 4 luxuries now and many of our cities are bordering on revolt because of this. How do you plan to get us through the tough times ahead?

Also, I second General Falcon's request for the ToG trade to the Greeks. This will get us Military Tradition this turn and will allow us to start upgrading our Egyptian(American?) strike force immediately.

Eklektikos had notified me of his resignation beforehand. Siegmund has also been notified.

However, my own time constraints had prevented me from fulfilling my new role properly over the last play session. I'll pick up the slack now. :)
