I'm doing this project on the Annexation Manifesto of 1849. I have to give reasons why Canada SHOULD join the US (in 1849 that is.). Right now, I'm reading the actual thing in published in the MOntreal Gazette, and it's taking a long time to comprehend it.

Please, anyone who knows information about the Annexation Manifesto give me a hand.

Actually I dont know if we're talking of the same thing but The USA didnt ask the canadians but the quebecers (like me) to ally against the english occupying our country since we lost the war on the Abraham plains...if thats what your talking about I could give you 100 reasons why we should have ally with US against our persecutors!!!
