View Full Version : Is there any way to make gameplay faster?

I don't mind playing 12-16 hour games. In fact, I rather enjoy it. But is there any way to reduce the lag? It always takes about half a second for any given unit to respond to a command. This is true whether over DSL or LAN, so it doesn't seem to a bandwidth problem. I just recently tried playing with an Athlon 2.0 and a P4C 2.4, but the increased processing power didn't help any, either. I'm gonna try again this week with a 2.4 and a 2.8 P4C, but I expect there will still be no improvement. I just wish it felt more like it does in single player. Are there any kind of ini settings or anything that can help out with this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

maybe they shouldn't use monkeys to code the multiplayer...

no wonder the expanion got such low scores.

I host my LAN games using a dual Athlon MP 2400+ setup with a gig and a half of ram.

It still lags, not so much as it does on the P3 750mhz that someone on my LAN uses.
