Hey, you think you could upload a tank model with a machine gun on it? I am going to make a WWI-WWII machine gunner unit and if you already have one then it would make it so much easier on me. The MG42/MG34 or browning will do just fine. After all, the Marine has an AK.

If you decide to, .3ds format is perfect.

The Marine in Civ3 doesn't have an AK, if that's what you're talking about.

Well then, what is it?

An M16/M4 does NOT have a banana clip, and the color of the stock and general shape gives the impression of an AK series weapon.

we're actually trying to do as much as pos. between now and Wednesday morning (the deadline for inclusion on Conquests)

Troutline - I honestly can't tell. It almost looks like the back half is from an AK and the front half is from a Thompson.

For me it is quite close to an AK 47

Yes, the grip does look a little strange, it pops out too much, which is thompson-like. But for the most part it is an AK that they didn't put a lot of deatil into.

... And since when has Civ been known for historical accuracy? :rolleyes:

Exactly my point. If a American Marine has an AK47, why can't an American Machine Gunner have an MG42?

Well, I think the Marines are about the coolest looking unit in the game, so I don't mind. But I still can't see the front end as being very similar to an AK. :D

@ripptide: could you post a list of names of the vehicles in the 'new' picture, i know most of them but some i don't recognize

Btw for anyone who expressed an interest in playtesting at the SOE forums, this will begin on Sunday of this week. The conditions of playtesting are simply...

1. You have enough time to contribute to deliver feedback on the mod.

2. That you do not release the contents to any other person until SOE is properly released.

3. That you do not use the contents of the scenario for any other mod or scenario until SOE is properly released.

4. Unfortunately due to the size of the mod file we ask that only people with fast connections partake in playtesting at this stage. Upon release of the mod it will be available in several parts for easy download but at this stage we will be using just a single file. Sorry to the 56k users out there but it just isnt practicle for you to playtest at this point.

Sorry if it seems like im laying down rules for what is in effect a process that helps ourselves, but im sure people will understand why the above is necessary.
