The Medieval Japan extras on the PTW CD offer a wide range of units. I am only missing a Warrior (which, of course, is not medieval :) ). Right now I use the AoK samurai in my scenario, but that unit is on one hand too modern, and on the other I am not quite sure how Microsoft would feel about that. :mischief: In any case, if someone would make an ancient warrior with an asian flavor, it would be most appreciated. :)

As a stand in why not use the Japanesse worker and have clear jungle as his attack animation? The 'pedia entry for warriors says theyre just mobs of citizens anyway. you could tell them appart from workers coz hell have hit points.
How hard would it be to mod his shovel to a machetten and change his clothes colouring?

Well, in theory, the Ashigaru Spearman could be used as a warrior, as they were a basic soldier in that time.

Thanks for your suggestions. I like them both! :) Unfortunately, I already use the worker as, well, a worker. And I while it may be easy to modify him a little, I have little experience with animation... Maybe someone else could, though? As for using the Ashigaru Spearman, the situation is similar there. I already have him replacing the Pikeman, just as the Otomo Spearman replaces the Spearman. Besides, the anim is a bit too advanced and shiny. :) After all, the warrior is supposed to be a stone age kind of guy...

Agreed,... an East Asian warrior type is much needed... Alas.

Didn't sum1 make an asian warrior already, the guy with nunchuks? Or how bout the native american brave (similar skin tone and looks prinative), the DyP chinesse swordsman? or have you tried these already?
