I've been waiting for this patch hoping I could get at least hotseat to work, but it still wont. Whenever I choose any sort of multiplayer game type the game crashes immediately. Has anyone else had this problem? If you did, were you able to get it fixed? this sucks pretty bad, I cant even play on hotseat.

Hotseat is the only part of Multiplayer that works on mine. I've not loaded the patch yet (playing GOTM) but since I've not read too many complaints about hotseat;I'd think it may be a problem with your installation.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Sorry I can't think of anything else :(

ive uninstalled and deleted the entire folder about 10 times now. waiting for a response from the tech guys. In the meantime i have given up all hope

Are you saying it crashes when you click on the multiplayer button at the start screen or it crashes after you get to the multiplayer game type choice screen?

The reason I ask is that it seems my multiplayer screen is somewhat finickey. I have a crashproof program running and it does sometimes kick in on that screen (1.21 PTW). If I try to change the internet/local bar it sometimes crashes or if I hit the X at the bottom right as I set up a hotseat game instead of hitting launch it'll crash. I've not bothered to log the actual error because it's just quicker to restart PTW and try again.

Since I've not read of anyone else having this problem, I just assumed it was something unique to my computer(or my Win Me)

it crashes when I select any type of multiplayer game (hotseat, internet, pbem)
I also have Win Me. With mine though it crashes 100% of the time.
