Buccaneers Ahoy!

As many of you already know Sid's new company, Firaxis, is working on the sequel to his old hit Sid Meier's Pirates! The new game promises us 3D graphics, updated gameplay and many other new features.

People have been talking about it all over the net but we've lacked a dedicated place for our conversations. As of now, this has changed!

Well, after registering, be sure to join in. We'd love to hear what everyone's thoughts on the game are (both the old and the new). Pirates spoke to the imagination of hundreds of thousands all over the world and it's interesting to learn what made it so appealing to everyone. :)

Yep, posted there too. Not much response from Apolyton though. I had expected a lot more Pirates! fans to be based there. :)

Well, you already have one of the best Civ communities around (second only perhaps to Apolyton?) and Firaxis isn't going to give up on Civ just yet. Plenty of work still ahead so don't go lazy on us! *grin*

You only registered to promote your site? :rolleyes: You know, advertising is actually forbidden on this forum, but I'll look at this as the exception explained in the forum rules (http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumRules.shtml). I can hardly close it now that the Big Boss has posted here. ;)

By the way, CFC is #1. We got more unique daily visitors than Apolyton these days. :p

I'm actually a long time visitor to the site but always as a guest. Been playing Civ for as long as the game has been out and with Civ 3's release, especially since PtW, I've been visiting Civ Fanatics regularly to find answers to questions. :)

Didn't need to register to post the site though, guest posting is allowed. Just thought it was high time I got a registration here.

Yeah I was looking at Apolyton the other day and noticed that CFC and Apolyton both had a lot of body. Problem with Apolyton is their navigation. Nothing really makes sense there and I never could find my qay quickly. Guess they favoured doing it artsy over doing what's practical. Much better arrangements here.

Looks really good. Still a way to go I guess, but when Pirates 2 gets closer to release date there will be heaps of news and screenshots to keep us Pirates! fans happy. See you there Falconer.
