I pressed Print Scrn, but I forgot to paste it in Paint Shop Pro after I sent the game forth. But my starting position is quite good, I think. Got two fur close and one wheat next to my capital. ;)

Just so everyone knows, I will be gone all day Saturday and Sunday. I haven't yet received the save from Thunderfall, but will check for it before I leave on Saturday.

I agree, Thunderfall. Hopefully once the game gets going, we will able to get a quicker turnover. Still, these first 20-30 turns will be excruciating. ;)

Matrix - you know you're a nice builder, like me. Why go around trying to imply youre a big bad warmonger?

It is a pretty valley aint it? Seems a shame to spoil it with nasty mines and irrigation....

Curious to know if we're on tiny or huge map. It kinda makes a difference to my build order........ it will make exploring fun. I wish I'd picked an expansionist now.....

I was just fooling around. But indeed, something tells me it'll take a long time before I will be the aggressor in the game. That also has something to do with the fact that I'll never be in a position (i.e. too weak) to attack. :rolleyes: I'm not that good.

(Or am I stigmating myself now?)

@MarineCorps - I am usually a builder, but am adaptable. Especially when everyone is eyeing my beloved city.

I dont really think of myself as a good player since I habituate pbems with deity killing players such as Anarres and Erikk who are rather better than me .

There are advantages in not having AIs around having just got crunched in a pbem by 4 Emperor level AIs + my opponent who had bought alliances against me (he paid more than I did):cry:

I dont think posting your start position gives the other players much info but it does make it a bit more fun through the early tedious moves.

Sorry, I have skipped a line in Outlook Express: I did receive turn 4 at 15-09-2003 13:42. But I played that turn at the university and even though I believe I remembered and used the correct e-mail address of Col, something still might have gone wrong, so I replayed and resent too.

Just got the new save - but my computer is knackered. Nothing that a new hard drive and complete reformat, new motherboard, processor and memory wont fix though......

I'll try and get running in a few days. In the meanwhile I can just about scrape internet access together, so I've got nothing to do but mod at the moment .... :evil:

It's been 3 weeks and we are only in turn 4. :p Civ4 probably will be out by the time we finish this game. :D

I have only seen real beautiful start positions (some absolutely amazing ) so there *must* be someone stuck in a jungle or something ;)
