The other day I was playing and a far superior AI (in military units) declared war on me, I left a big city 4 tiles from his border undefended (4 tiles so he couldn't reach me with MA in one turn, I heavily fortified with MI everything of value around that city, well guess what, here comes good old AI with a stack of about 70 MA going after that undefended city, of course I had no choice but to nuke that SOD, then next turn he comes at me with a stack of about 100 MI, and of course I had to nuke that one too, gee all of a sudden my Military advisor says "Compared to them we have an average army" so we were now about even in troops.

I read a thread a while back that this exploit had been fixed, I guess it hasn't.

What is the exploit? Nuking another nation's units?

No, the old undefended city trick. I guess they still fall for it everytime.

Yea. I don't think that will ever be fixed, one of the disadvantages of the AI always knowing your troop locations.

There's another good example of how Firaxis tries to give the AI an extra advantage that actually backfires on them
