Not much happening this update so I’ll make it short and sweet.

In Southeast Asia Java erupts into civil war as the loyalist army brutally suppresses a citizen revolt for Geystral. The Geystral army is ordered in to assist the rebels and advances slowly as they are hampered by guerilla attacks along the roads to Jakarta, the capital. In a sea assault a small force of Geystral troops disembark to the north of Jakarta and are promptly cut off by the Java troops in the capital. The only bright spot for Geystral is in the east where citizens have kicked out all government troops and attached their nation to Geystral.

In north America the Canadians upgrade their military with more men and better weapons and expand northward to come into contact with Montagnias. In governmental news the King initiates a tribal confederation type of government. Hundreds of advisors come to Toronto and overwhelm the King with arguments and dissention.

The Russians expand south along the Volga river, angering the Scythians who consider that territory their own. Also the tsar is dismayed at the daunting task of exploring the freezing east and north of Siberia. He therefore orders the construction of a wonder designed to better equip his people for the task.

On the Arabian peninsula the Arabs expand southward after making contact with the Persians. The expand south until they found the city of Bahrain. Across the Arab kingdom temples are built to stimulate teaching and education.

The Spanish, Franks and Etruscans all contribute to the destruction of the Gauls. They create new borders based off of where their armies were at the time the last Gaul was killed in battle. In the far north the Spanish found a colony in the midst of territory controlled by the barbarian Lapps. Constant attacks from them and a total inability of the Spanish to find food and survive in the environment contributes to a downward spiral for the colony. It is only estimated to last a few years longer. In Africa they expand their Moroccan positions south and attempt to expand past the two northernmost canary islands. Again the naval commanders object saying that they are not able to handle the wind conditions in that area and it leads to the destruction of the Spanish colonization fleet.

In Central America the Honduran army heads into the remainder of the Mixtec Kingdom and helps crush the last resistance of those people. To the east both the Aztec and Honduran armies advance into the Toltec nation and meet stiff resistance.

On the Indian subcontinent a new nation known as Sinhala rises under a new king and comes into contact with the Dravidians.

To the North of India the tribes of Mongolia all increase their armies, seeking to expand their power over the tribes surrounding them.

In Anatolia the Hittites use their massive army to crush the Greek settlements on the peninsula. The only areas the Greeks hold out on is the city of troy and the countryside surrounding it.

Harun was restless and he wouldn't rest untill all of the peninsula was under Arab control. The port city of Bahrain was established on the Persian Gulf, and it would prove a valuable future trading post for Arab deals with the Persians. Already, construction was under way in Bahrain to build great docks to house non-military Arabic vessels. Meanwhile, Harun realized that he had the money to start a trade route with the Persians. It would bring his country down into a horrible depression, but he would bring it back up. He also sent a letter to the Israelis.

Pre-History of Sinhala

Please note that I do not feel like researching the history of real Sinhala, and so will not be historically accurate.

The fertile plains of Sinhala is what gace birth to a world empire. Along the wind-swept grasslands of central Sinhala (Sinhala being modern-day Sri Lanka) there reigned a tribe of supreme fighters and excellent barterers. This tribe was lead by a succession of chiefs of the name Jamao. Back to before oral record dates, the name Jamao has led the tribe in the dangerous and competetive world that they inhabit. Upon becoming chief, Nikapu Jamao had great plans for his country. The tribe now numbered in the thousands, and the central village was now a sprawling village of commerce and population. The protective army was now much more dominate then anyother force upon Sinhala, and so the tribe gained the name of Sinhala, ruler of the island. Becoming chief, Nikapu set the destiny for Sinhala in a number of campaigns of uniting the island, one of which would later claim his life. The Sinhalese army was set forth to unite the tribes of Jaffna and Colombo, the largest rivals to the civilization of Anuradgapura, the capital village of Sinhala. The battles were excitedly on the side of the Sinhalese, who soon united the island underneath the "purple lion" banner. Sinhala was now posed for Indian-Dominance.

Upon the destruction of the Colomo tribe, the man who made it all, Nikapu Jamao was killed while fighting off a counter attack against his army's camp. At his funerul, his son Haiya became what is now called Emperor instead of chief. He, too, was an expansionist who learned from his father who was the most honored chief in all of Sinhalese history now. Statues and murals of him were soon made and constructed throughout Anuradgapura, and soon the whole of Sinhala Island.

With all of the island under Sinhalese control, it would be much harder for Haiya to reign in his father's footsteps. However, there lay a large land, larger then four of Sinhala Island's, for what Haiya knew, and it was all for the taking. So eventually the Sinhalese navy was born by the construction of transport rafts and canoes; and the maps of Sinhala grew as the Emperor financed more and more voyages into the unknown areas of the continent. The scouts soon brough back new of another nation, worthy of the contact and diplomacy of Sinhala. This nation claimed to call themselves Dravidians. This of course was a huge dilemma to Haiya, as another nation would mean a halt in expansion. So, done quickly to offset the expansion of the Dravidians, the army was sent across Palk Strait and into the jungles and mountains that only a few Sinhalese had ever dared to venture into.

The Indigiounus people were of course against the expansion of the Sinhalese islanders onto their land, but there was little to be done against the mighty army serving under Haiya Jamao. Tribe after tribe fell to the armies of Sinhala, and the wealth poured from the blunders and into the capital, making the nation rich and prosperous. Haiya didn't stop with the fall of the strongest tribe in Sub-India, the Madurai. No, he pressed on into the dense jungle regions of the country, conquering tribes that were unknown even to the most edept explorer.

Soon Sinhala had reached the border with the Dravidians, Haiya pleased with what he had accomplished. He had conquered just as much territory as his father, plus the added fact that he had created so much wealth for the new nation, and conquered so much unknown land, that he would definetly go down in history. Haiya died a year later, after the official border with the Dravidians had been set. His first son, Hakai was sworn into his position on his father's funeral as well. Hakai is an Emperor of the people, not the economy, but still decided to honor his father and grandfather with such a statue that would withstand the ages.

And thus is the story of Sinhala untill now.

SICILY

Step 2 had begun for the rebirth of Sicily. A new empire would arise from the old one. Step one was the economy and age upgrade. Step 2 would be a major army increase, and an education increase.Also, the UU's would be exchanged for money. A new name for the empire would be taken from this time of 'rebirth'.

- Increase the army TONS.

- Trade in the UU (its supplies should be worth some money) for one + economy level for me. (the UU will trade in their suuplies for money and then the former units will become regular citizens. The suuplies are worth money, giving me a free economy level.

[War chronicle as told by "Gitul Serif"]

-we embarked off of the Emperial navy into the heart of the enemy.In front is a forest.Behind to my left I see a village and to my right I see a plains and a farm.
-My Likot informed my unit that we weren't going to be doing any hardcore ransacking of villages unless they were on the way to the enemy capitol...So we went into the forests,now knowing of the dangers ahead.
-I had equipped my trusty sword of bronze I called "Arse kicker" and my shield "Thy juriz" (Or "My gaurd").I had on my copper chainmail and I was fit for battle as the Geystral lad I am.The Likot on the other hand was more elaborately decorated...With his Green cape and with a jade emblem of Geystral embroidered on the Cape with the seal keeping the cape around him...The Kardah had a Jade clad Bronze suite of chainmail on...On his horse and surrounded by his best men...We were sure of easy victory.
-(Day 2)we've been marching into the forests when archers unloaded a hail of arrows at us...Luckily half of them were traitors and they turned on the others and unloaded them arrows at eachother...It was sheer confusion as the battle was taking place...We didn't know who to kill and who to take prisoner...And who to let join us!
-(Day 3)Another ambush...This time following it was a cavalry rush that was stupid....We couldn't catch all the archers this time...But the cavalry assault we anhialated.I even got an arrow in my arm that day!
-(Day 5)We've found a trail that is said to lead us to the Java capitol...We're taking it...We've been under constant pressure from the Java militia's and whatnot and we're not sure what's gunna happen anymore.
-(Day 7) We've been taking this road and now see ourselves misled...We've tooken the wrong road and an enemy army is scouted to be 3 hours away...Atop a hill.The scouts say there's easilly a hundred of them...My Likot says we're going to have to take the hills tomarrow.
-(Day 8) We've attakced the Hills gaining almost instantaneous ground against these primitive bastards...Some of these enemy soldiers...half conscripts,even threw rocks much to their idiosy...I got a small rock chucked at me from a kid...I dropped my weapon and started laughing...Falling to my knee's and weeping in joy as the stupid kid ran because he thought I was posessed...To him it was life or death...To me it was laughing whilst roling on the ground helplessly at the commedy performed around me.
-(Day 11) We've been following a new trail...On the heels of the army we just vanquished back at the hill.My Likot sais we're 2 days march to the enemy capitol.
-(Day 13) We're at the doors of the enemy capitol...We've made camp and the army is divided into 2...One part consiting of 200 Gitulen and one force consisting of 100 Gitulen...I'm with the 100...We have to take a hill to the right of the capitol...This should be interesting.On the bright side I get double rations for today:D
-(day 14) We've stormed the hill today...A relitively easy task to accomplish because there were no more than 50 soldiers...Half conscripts on the hill for us to maul down...We mount "Rock hurlers" on the hill today using enslaved Java from the nearest village.
-(Day 18) after much rock hurling we decided to go in...And go in we did..Pummeling the city and taking half of it just today!I'm in a plundered house right now...I think the next day's battle should be very easy.
-(Day 19) the day's battle was an onslaught for the enemy..We took them down and now there's Geystral flags rose apot the towers of this city...The Kardah gave a good speech today...I forgot to write it down but I remember my spirits being lifted heavilly...We're sure to do some good for this barbaric kingdom.

After the battles took place in Java the Emperor of Geystral was happy that he had barely lost any lives...He therefor had parades and festivals threwout the Empire to celibrate these victories.The aim of these scattered festivities were to gain some volunteers for the army so the Empire could go about doing it's normal job of sanitising itself.

Etrusca? it' in Italy? It was never a country... just the name of this people Estrucans... If I'm correct about you civ at all...
If so Everything the Roman had they took from the Estrucans including balistas and all other weopns... But legions were invented by the romans...

Azale- I can give you the history of the Etruscans if you want to be them. But Europe is already incredibly crowded with players, not to mention NPC's. There is plenty of open area in Asia or Africa and if you'd like a nation there just let me know and you'll get a suitable bounus for starting late. If not, just let me know and Etrusca it is. Espania

The land of Espania continues to be powerful amng thier neigbors. Though only one threat arises among all of them, France. This small nation, though strong. They have recently sacked the Gaul Capitol, a useful, very useful city.

I call my council of all five states representatives to one table in my palace in Madrid. The wooden seats are all filled while everyone whispers to each other. "Why are we here... what's happening... what is that red robe this guy is wearing... what am I haveing for lunch...?" it went on and on until I entered the room, the room hushed as everyone's eyes were looking straight at me.

"Hello everyone," I said in spanish "you probably haven't notices why we are here-" A break of whispering occurs. "Ahem, you are here about our threat up north, in one hunderd years our philosophers predict a recruit of 400 more troops to our army, this should be put to good use..."

The discussion went all night long and then to the next day. Many were tired and exhausted, though we have though of something...

So were is this update we were promised in 3 hrs?

The Hittite Army continues to siege Troy. Still barely clinging on the Greek defenders of the city fall in droves to the fury of the Hittite’s. Seeing their inability to break through they city walls of Troy the Hittites construct a navy and send it across the Aegean Sea, only to have the superior Greek navy destroy it enroute. The first wave of 100 Hittites die in the worlds first large scale sea battle.

In Central America the War of Aztec Superiority continues with a full scale Aztec and Honduras assault on the Toltecs. Both sides gain significant ground but the Honduran armies are able to advance further due to the mysterious death of the local Toltec general.

In the Middle East the Arabians establish a trade route with the Persians, exchanging slaves, animals and textiles for food weaponry and gold. They expand further into the desert and found the village of Riyadh near a oasis facilitating growth. Their continued diplomatic attempts to integrate the Israelis yields no results as they insist on their own nation. In addition they begin the Great Arabian Conscription to increase the armed forces.

In North America the Canadians utilize the Huron triremes to ferry settlers across the Great Lakes. In addition the Canadian explores and traders shed new light on the size and power of the Cree people. Also the Delaware’s introduce the Canadians to many previously unknown cultures. The Canadians also finally complete the College of the War of Self Determination.

On the Indian Sub Continent the Sinhala government begins construction of a statue to the former Jamao’s. They also grow their economy by massive investment into the national coffers.

In the Mediterranean Sea, Sicily remains itself and initiates a massive growth of the army. In addition to this growth a overhaul of the empire itself is enacted. They expand deeper into the desert of Africa, and are stopped by the inability to transport water that far into the expanse. Their unique Sicilian warriors are disbanded to put more money into the Sicilian treasury.

In Southeast Asia the Geystral army continues to advance in the Java jungle, but does so slowly and taking massive casualties as both sides don’t know who are allies and who are enemies. Towns change allegiances daily depending on what army is closest and who threatens them the most at any given time.

In the northernmost reaches of Asia a new people known as the Magadan’s arise out of the cold forests and start the beginnings of the first Siberian state society.

In West Europe the Spanish construct a large wall on their border with the Franks. In response to this, the surprised Franks then initiate the construction of a larger fort system on their side. Also in the north the Lapps overrun the embattled Spanish colony due to lack of supplies and inability to cope with the cold. Further to the east the central European barbarians begin an invasion of German territory and the Slave nation.

The Java government...Deffinetly not enjoying this war settled for a peacefull surrender in which they were granted full pardon and the chance to serve under the Geystral military flag(Me and Puma talked it over on AIM for those that may accuse of this as illigit).The new province of Java would be a nice addition to the grand Empire of Geystral...Stretching from...Alot to alot of land...

The new Emperor that came into play was a good one...He didn't enjoy the simple things in life though...But none of that mattered...For he was the head honcho up in this piece...So with the 44oz. cup of BACK THE F_U_C_K DOWN under construction he was ready to improve Geystral as a whole...He went about this in a peacefull way of course...Just like the Emperors of late.

[War story]

There they were....Atop of the hill where the enemies were sure to blaze in to attack...All 300 of em standing firm against the enemy charge.
The Geystral archers soon sent a hail of arrows against the enemies...The enemy army was hypothesised to be around 500 men...Only 100 of it was regular though...The rest were conscipts.
"FIRE!" one could hear the Daos screaming at his archers...And lad after lad of the enemies fell to the Geystral bronze arrow.
After 4 shots were fired from all the archers they drew swords and shields...It was time to fight.The Daos Finitrue atop his steed and his gaurds atop theirs..The glistening of his jade clad armor...
"Kardah!" Screamed Daos Finitrue as went sword first against the enemies...Now only about 30 yards away...His gaurds soon followed then the rest of the footsoldiers behind them.
The battle that ensued was a very bloody one...Mostly resulting in huge loss of life on the crap conscrips of the Java.Daos Finitrue wading threw these like they're nothing...It was an all out donny brooke.
After 2 hours the Java were beaten back...The geystral army still holding the hill at minimum cost...not persuing the fleeing enemy for fear of ambush in the forests.
The next day new numbers appeared in the Java ranks as new conscripts from the villages nearby were taken...The Geystral Daos was for some reasno against conscripting Java..Even when very loyal to him...He wanted the soldiers in his army to be proffesional...There was no room for messups.
He soon send a messenger to the Java camp to see if they'd surrender yet...The answer was of course no.So later that day the Java attacked once again.This time the hindered Geystral army couldn't take much...Rations were running short and so Daos Finitrue figured it was better to retreat to the river down the hill...This was done.
The Next day half of the enemy army was placed downstream and the rest still atop the hill.The Geystral and java archers exchanged fire that whole day...The end resulting in a huge loss of arrows on the Java side as the arrows shot were flaming...It looked dark for Daos Finitrue's lads....Their camp having scattered fires everywhere and their arrow supply running low and the enemies running high...As the geystral arrows didn't have fire on them...Just used to kill enemies (Even though used very effectively by the geystral archers)
Daos Finitrue had a plan though....he wouldn't let his army go down like this.
"Likot Stermif...I need you and 50 men to start gathering bamboo" he ordered that night...When he thought there was enough gathered he ordered "Now make me donen out of these!And make bamboo Gitulento place on these donen."
All threw the night the enslaved Java were forced under Likot Stermif to create these fake donen...And then a huge rope was lached onto the donen to pull them back upstream...This was indeed a master plan by Daos Finitrue.
The next dawn when it was all kinds of foggy...And frosty...And whatnot...The Daos ordered the donen to go down their...As expected the enemy soldiers fired arrows at the ships and the arrows stuck into the ships...They tried to put fire on their arrows but it wouldn't keep up while on the arrows because of the dew and frost and etc...The Daos had succeeded in stealing the enemy arsenal of arrows(Who besides me would think of such great tactics?).
Those donen were pulled back up to the Geystral army by the slaves and then the the archers loaded up and fired 2 shots at the enemy before they fled...And the army atop the hill fell on the Geystral army seeing their comrades in flight.
The Daos was seen again at the front line...Slicing his way threw the enemy soldiers one at a time...He was very proficient with his sword...Then the army that was in flight turned around and attacked the flank of the Geystral army...Inflincting panick on those at the flank...This was cured though by flank Likot Silidon sliding his force's away from the rest of the army...creating a little hole between the flank and the rest of the army in which the Archers slammed 2 arrows a piece into the Java careless enough to be in the hole...This provided enough death on the enemy side so that the Geystral men could surround the remaining and capture them.
Another battle well fought by the Great Kardah Daosen...In total around 300 enemy conscripts and a number of regulars died in that battle...the other 200 conscripts and regulars surrendered to the Geystral army.Compaired the Geystral 40...That was an immence victory for the Geystral troops...A victory well played out and well worth the parades that were going on back home in this honor

Famine rips across southeast Asia! The nations of southeast asia have experienced huge population gain in recent centuries but haven’t experienced any recent technological advances to increase food production to offset it. As such all across the nations of Indonesia and southeast asia experience a famine of proportions not yet seen in the world. On Java the government surrenders to Geystral forces only to have the leaders of that retreat to the deep jungle to carry on their fight. The rest of the populace however welcomes the new Geystral rulers and rejoices at the government’s demise. Furthermore an agreement has been concluded with Borneo in terms of expansion in the area. Timor’s independence has been assured and the Geystral military annexes more smaller islands. Many parties are thrown in Geystral to celebrate this victory but almost no one goes as everyone is too busy either starving to death or being pissed off about the lack of food or constant war.

Plague in the Mideast! Out of Israel a deadly plague spreads throughout the Fertile crescent spreading itself down the Arabian peninsula. The devastation wrought by it causes a halt to all economic growth and devastates the populations, including the militaries. The upheaval caused by the plague has caused Egypt to decent into rebellion the Lower Egyptians calling for their own nation from the Pharaohs in Thebes.

The Greeks and Hittites have concluded a peace treaty leaving the Hittites in control of nearly all of Asia minor save the fortress city of Troy.

In Europe the Spanish attack the Franks! They launch a sneak attack of the Basque capital and the Brest coastline. The French navy is called to halt the invasion but is unable to hold back the huge Spanish navy, but they do sink a few ships. The Frank army is prepared and extracts massive casualties in their retreat from the capital. The Spanish push slowly north using the Rhine river to protect their flanks. Taking advantage of the absence of Spanish military forces the Spanish Moroccan colonies revolt and proclaim their own nation of Morocco.

In central America the War of Aztec dominance comes to an end as the Toltecs fall to a determined two pronged assault, and then reopens as the Hondurans launch an attack on the Aztecs as soon as the two nations come into conflict. The Aztecs expected this and fight back with a fury the Hondurans haven’t seen yet. The presence of the Honduran leader at the front is the only thing keeping their moral high and preventing a total collapse of the battle lines. The Honduran economy suffers as the people are stunned that their armies are being defeated in the field, the GDP does not rise.

In north America the Canadians propose a union of forces between the major powers of the northeast. While they refuse to join a council, they all agree to form a multiparty alliance and fight as one in any future wars. The Canadians launch a attack with the Huron triremes (keep in mind that triremes can each only transport 20 men) and are beaten back. While the superior Canadian forces do hold out, they are unable to advance deeper into the Winnebago nation because of the constant attacks while unloading troops from their transports. Also due to the Canadian threat the Cree have signed an alliance with the Winnebago and have threatened to come to their aid if Canada doesn’t cease their attacks.

On the Indian Subcontinent, Sinhala expands rapidly up the east coast with massive finances flowing into the explorers pockets. The Sinhala navy is dispatched out to find new lands and finds a group of islands to the south, but it is a significant distance away from calm waters and two ships are lost to the ocean depths.

Russia expands to the southeast only to come into contact with a massive group of barbarians known as the Karasuks.

The British people overthrow their king and install a new monarch. King John is heralded by the people as a fair and just ruler and initiates a program of rebuilding the roads of England that had degraded due to years of neglect.

The bad temperature and food growth over there will truly kill them without our support. They have no military and only citizens with sticks to fight us, 100 men should secure the vicinity.

We have gotten a hold of three French fronts from which we will attack and defend from. Our tactics have shown well against the French army and will continue to do so. The mighty Spanish people will win.

We have recently finished the great Military Academy from which people all around the world come to train themselves to fight and defend themselves to serve for thier army. A new construction idea has come up to further expand the smartness of our people. The Catalan Library. We will send men to every part of Europe to gather books for this library. Era of Bad Things Continued.... Kinda

Most everybody comes into the Bronze age, some more remote cultures however still lack the knowledge.

North America erupts into general war. The Cree, opposing the Canadians and their attack on the Winnebago, create their own alliance, the Hudson Powers, consisting of the Cree, Winnebago, the Ottawa, and the Montagnis. The Canadians concentrate their forces on the Winnebago and make significant gains against them. The Cree however launch attacks on nearly all of the Northern alliance nations. The Cree advance slowly against the Canadians as they have highly determined troops defending their homeland, however, the Ojibwa crumble in the face of the Cree attack and the Mimacs, while weak, don’t bare the brunt of the Cree attacks and only yield limited gains.

In Southeast Asia the famine comes to an end as just the right number of people die and just the right amount of reforms to feed the rest. There is also more expansion on the western islands, although a Don was lost due to inclement weather. In the east, there is competition between Geystral and Timor for the smaller islands.

Russia expands further to the southeast but runs into the new warrior people of the Cossacks (light red) and the Armenians (brown).

On the Indian Subcontinent the Singhalese begin an incredibly intensive campaign to dominate the Dravidians through economic means. They also explore the southern Asiatic coast and come into contact with the Davarati and Geysral to the East and even go to a new place called the Persian Gulf and contact the Persians and Arabs. The route to the Maldives remains trecherous and despite measures to keep and eye on conditions another trieme is lost.

In West Europe the war continues! The front seems to stabilize in a stalemate, not in a tactical sense as there are many ebbs and flows of the battle lines, but in a strategic sense as neither side can deal a crushing blow to the other side. The Spanish reinforce their fortresses and push the Franks out of Spain and even push onto the Frankish Fortresses and succeed in taking one of them. In the Brest Beachhead the Franks counterattack and despite reinforcements the Spanish are pushed back. On the eastern front the Spanish advance up the Rhine river and push the Franks back as per their battle plans. However. The Franks counterattack at the former Gaul capital and cut off the Spanish forces entrenched behind the Rhine river. In Africa the Spanish land in Morocco and advance against the rebel forces but are somewhat disappointed that they can’t utterly destroy the numerically superior rebels. The Spanish commander says that with more troops the reconquest would be a cakewalk.

Sicily continues it’s modernization with a campaign to develop new technology but the scholars of New Sicily are woefully under funded and are unable to unlock new secrets. The Plague that originated in the Mideast is spread by Sicilian merchants and it spreads throughout northern Europe and the Mediterranean. The Sicilian King orders his navy to go beyond the Atlas mountains and out into the vast ocean to the west. All of the naval commanders refuse to head out into this area, arguing that it’ll be many, many, many, many years before ships would be able to take on those kinds of waters without sinking.

The Hittite Kingdom only suffering a little from the plague resolves to spend money from the Kingdoms coffers to find out the source of the plague. The King’s accountant however informs him that there is absolutely no money in the vaults. That the Hittite Kingdom is stone broke. Nevertheless the wise men of the Hittites discover that the Plague originated in Israel, probably the result of the failure of the Israelis to pay homage to Hittite gods.

On the British Isles the new King continues to please the people by establishing marketplaces in each English town. This increases the economy more than the King thought and the coffers enjoy a windfall of new tax revenue. (you get an extra econ level) Also traders from the continent have shared information about how to cast bronze thus propelling Britian into a new age.

In Central America the Honduran Aztec War comes to an end as the Hondurans are for the first time defeated. The Hondurans agree to pay the Aztecs an economy level in exchange for a return to pre-war borders. The Hondurans then begin to construct a series of fortifications on their border with the Aztecs, it is very weak as the Hondurans have no money to make it much stronger, further no new army troops can be recruited for the same lack of funds.

That wasn't going to be a bad thing for Geystral though...As they had much to do with their money...First thing's first they needed a better,more modern navy...So they started making new donen of Wood and putting bronze plates over some parts of it and mounting Ballista's and Catipults to the ships,thus making these ships the best in the world!.

They also needed to upgrade the army...So they made bronze chain male and Bronze tower shields for the Gitulen as well as bronze long swords...This would greatly improve the Gitulen ability to kick ass.

Arabia

The plague, had been lifted. For years, it had haunted the Arabian peninsula and it's people, spreading sickness and disease throughout the land. Finally however, it was just a distant memory to warn the Arab people against uncleansiness. Harun Al Rashid decided to mount further expansion like he had years before, but this time in a new directions. The Arab army, now back in Mecca, was to expand from the fromer lands of the Saba, along Arabia's southern coast, as far as it could to the East. Harun wanted the whole peninsula surrounded.

Meanwhile, back in Mecca, a new set of reforms on trade were set up to ensure that the Arabian economym would survive the disastrous plague that haunted past generations. Also, an emissary was sent to Egypt to dicuss future relations.

Sinhala: The Nation of Prosperity

With the passing of Gaier Jamao into the afterlife, a new Emperor arose in his place to rule the nation of Sinhala. His name was Heptato Jamao, second son to Gaier. The first son, Geath Jamao, was killed in the recent exploration trireme to the Maldives by the largest storm in existance. The High Priest explained that it was actually a sign from the Gods that Geath was not a ruler, and needed to be deleted from the chain. In any case Heptato was an Emperor of the people.

He wanted the Sinhalese to boast of the smartest minds, the most religious people, and the best living conditions of the subcontinent. He was determined to make his individual person outlive any Arabian, Burmese, or Dravidian. His goals were to increase the population, the workforce, for a better economy that would server to make roads, markets and build even more temples for teaching and worship. The sky was the limit to Heptato, but he wanted to break the limit. He wanted to create forts for the army, homes for the poor, and harbors for the ships.

His idea of a great country was one where the people came to live in from all around the globe. Where farmers were actually glad to be farmers, where merchants were making money from the prosperous trading, and the miners and smiths were happy with their earnings. Where there were no beggers, no homeless, and certainly no traitors. All this he was going to make happen.

In the discussion hall, he told his advisors his plans, who immediately dissagreed with him, striving for a raise in the small unprotecting army and a replenishment of the two triremes that were lost at sea going to the Maldives. Heptato immediately had these men killed, and new ones set in place who were also Domesticators. Instead of more ships to keep the Maldives under control militarily, the staff and emperor decided to do it economically and culturally. A plan to set aside four thousand gold pounds to the project of assimilating the Maldives was approved by the council, and the Emperor signed it to make it into affect. The capital of Anuradhapura would also see the first projects to strengthen the people's mood of the Emperor in the form of baths, public toilets, and of course an increase of temples for learning experience. This was a time for the Sinhalese to fall graciously in line with eachother, and for the people to be united.

In Central America a new leader takes control of the military junta in Great Honduras and embarks to increase the military’s money supply. He also sends some forces to the Yucatan Peninsula, for what, no one knows.

In the Great North American War the battles continue to rage but neither side can bring overwhelming force to the battle and force an overall decision. The Delaware’s enter the war against the Ottawa and utterly destroy them along with some minor Canadian help. The Ojibwa continue to be pushed back by the Cree on both fronts and the Montagnais advance on the Mimacs through superior small unit leadership. Almost all nations in the Northern alliance look to the Canadians and Delaware to pull them through the conflict and in many of the capitals there begins to be the grumbling of defeatism. The only fronts on which the Northern alliance advances on is the ones where Canada is present. That is the Winnebago and Cree fronts. A lack of troops keeps the Canadian commander in Winnebago territory from doing much good and dogged resistance in the Cree assault keeps the Canadian wins there in check.

In Anatolia the Hittite king recognizes that he has no money and raises the economy by growing crops and selling them.

The Geystral government suffers from a bit different problem from the Hittites as they have so much money it makes it attractive for midlevel officials to engage in corruption. Taking strong difficult action, as difficult as spending massive amounts of money can ever be, Emperor Amon orders the equipping of his military with new bronze weapons. He also sends his explorers to colonize southward on the new land of Australia. Upon arrival to that land they meet the natives who are simply curious about the new visitors. They do however resent the settlement of these people and try to surround the new Geystral settlements.

On the British Isles the English fear the plague that had devastated Europe and put their navy to sea to annihilate any foreign vessels bound for the Isles. The plague however seems to pitter out and does not reach the isles.

Russia continues to incorporate their new territory and are beseeched by pleas from east Europe for help in turning back the Barbarian invasions that have crippled the area.

The war between France and Spain continues! The Brittany beachhead is eliminated by a final Frank assault. On the western coast the Spanish succeed in surrounding and outflanking the Frankish forces there and begin a siege of the fortress of Bordeaux. In the east the Franks take their isolation of the Spanish forces further and press into Spanish territory. The Spanish forces behind the Rhine river are having trouble advancing on the Franks with their lines of communication and resupply cut off. Also in Morrocco the Berbers enter the war in an attempt to gain land and attack the new morrocco government.

In Arabia the Arabs expand their economy and propose a trade route with the Egyptians. It is however unclear which Egypt the Arabs meant to talk to as the split in that ancient land erupts into civil war as Lower Egypt invades the South and pushes them back to their capital.

On the Indian subcontinent a new Singhalese Emperor initiates a massive, unheard of domestic reforms, designed to unite the Singhalese under one ruler for all eternity. They also begin food shipments to the Dravidians to make them more dependent on Singhalese goods.

Crossing from one side of Arabia to the other was now simpler than ever! Excitement grew throughout Arabia as people began to wonder if they'd see a connected Arabia in their lifetime. The Caliph, Harun Al-Rashid, wanted to see it completed as fast as possible too. He hastily ordered his armies to embark from both sides of the empire, the Southern and Western sections, and travel around the coast untill they met in the SouthEasternmost corner of Arabia. In celebration, a city, Muscat, would be made at this site.

Meanwhile back in the cities, such as Meccah, Medinah, Aden, and Bahrain, a defenite surge of education could be noted. Harun was disgusted at how many Arabs couldn't even read or write. He set off a vast campaign to improve literacy. In the meanwhile, the rest of his time was spent on watching the situation in Egypt. He was unaware that a civil war was taking place, but was willing to wait. Yes... wait. He would wait untill the situation was resolved and then offer trade to the winner.

In Arabia the Caliph Harun Al-Rashid orders the expansion of his people to encircle the peninsula. The forces that are sent forth by the Caliph are hindered along the way by the resistance of desert nomads that conduct hit and run attacks on the Arabian troops. To the west, Lower Egypt continues to advance on the Southern Kingdom, taking the capital of Thebes. The Nubians take advantage of the civil war in Great Egypt to attack the south and gain lands there.

In Central America the Hondurans try to settle an area known as the Mississippi river valley. Instead their all of their troops and settlers are slaughtered by a xenophobic race known as the Apaches.

In the Great North American War. The Canadians turn and attack the flanks of the Cree’s in Ojibwa territory, making awesome gains against the flanks. This however takes away from the troops in Cree territory and the Canadian troops are pushed back. The Delaware come to the rescue of the Mimacs on their western front and push the Cree totally out of Western Mimac. However in the North of the country fierce fighting still rages in the Ojibwa capital. As of yet the city has not been taken. In Winnebago the small amount of Canadian troops are overrun by a Winnebago counterattack taking advantage of Canadian occupation with other fronts. To the far east the Monteginis continue to attack deeper into Mimac territory almost taking the capital.

In Southeast Asia the Geystral Emperor decrees another settlement on the Australian mainland. However, the new threat of foreigners causes the tribal councils to join together under a Australian emperor. A majority of the island continent is under the rule of this new Emperor. Very few of the internal aborigine tribes even hear of the new government and don’t send their elders.

In Europe the war continues. The Spanish succeed in making the encircled fortress of Bordeaux surrender. Following that victory they attack the next fortress in the line and are even able to take it with the new troops, however the last fort in the line hold the Spanish troops are soundly defeated. The troops behind the Rhine are still without supplies and are pushed back by fresh Frankish troops. Some even begin to surrender hoping for some food in Frankish captivity.

Sicily expands further south into Africa and begins a new wonder for their people.

On the Indian Subcontinent the Indus valley civilization collapses only to be replaced by a new highly advanced tribe known as the Aryans who use a super hard metal known as iron for their weapons. The Singhalese finish construction of the Jamao Statue almost doubling their military with new recruits.

Greater Sinhala

General Farapu Jamao become emperor upon his father's death. An end to the economic regimes in Sinhala has given birth to one of the most militaristic men ever to take the throne of the Kingdom of Sinhala. And his attitude would not go to waste.

Sinhala now commanded the largest army by far of the known world. Eight hundred men served under the Sinhalese thrown, and over twenty triremes that explored the depths of the world. It was time, thought Farapu, that Sinhala put it to use.

A long time trader, the Dravidians, had grown weak over time as Sinhala prospered. Their army puny to the Sinhalese, and their navy was not even half of what Sinhala had. Their land desolate, old farms that were no longer in use plagued the land as imported Sinhalese food fed most of the nation. In the war room, Farapu readied himself for what will become the most famouse speech ever to take place in Ceylon (the new name for the island that Sinhala originated from) in the capital. The light from the roof shone directly upon his face as he cleared his throat. The room fell silent.

"Friends, we are gathered to discuss the future of the Sinhalese Empire. Our troops have become dormant, laying waste to small rebellions that are of no importance to our nation anymore. Our navy remain sailing the same seas, having nothing better to do. And our economy suffocates. Suffocates from lack of exhileration, from lack of use. It is time, friends, that we expand Sinhala to it's greatest reach."

"How do we do this? The Dravidians to the east have always pestered the Sinhalese way of life. Border clashes between the peasants of Dravidians and our noble people have been occuring since the dawn of Sinhalese contact. Why must we let such a lesser nation dictate the role of Sinhala? Along the rugged hills of the southern province, the Sinhalese forces were mustered and already trained in the terrain from the previous orders. The camp was full of men suiting up for what will become the first strike of the first Sinhalese war with another true nation. And yet the men were not afraid. They were confident, and willing to die for their country. They were happy to fight alongside their emperor, who was also suiting up with them. He would lead this army into battle, and to capture Mangalore, the Dravidian capital.

Finally the wagons were put together, the food and weapons secured, and the slaves picked up the two logs that mounted the wagon on them, and began to pull it on it's two wheels, following the army. A steady drum beat kept the marching in line, echoing off the steep cliffs that surrounded the huge army. They soon crossed the border, and began to capture and plummet Dravidian villages, the first attacks by the Sinhalese. Gathering what supplies they could, including a few Dravidians as slaves to carry the huge load of supplies, the army continued on to the Mangalore capital.

The Canadian was preforming well but is was streched to thin. Something had to be done. An order went to the troops to start digging in and to hold the the line. Canadas seers expected a new develpoment that could turn the tide of the war for Canada. The new troop deployments came straight from Toronto. 100 men were to hold the enclave in Winabgo land and build trenchs and other defensive forts and stockades. 350 men were to try and hold the cree lands and again build forts and other defensive measures. 250 men were to contiune attacking the flank of the cree. 250 men were to aid the Milmac and to drive back the indavers.

The Singhalese launch an all out assault of the Dravidians. They also cement their friendship with the Aryans to the north by purchasing the secrets of iron and agreeing to invade Dravidian territory together. To the north the Aryans make huge gains against the bronze equipped armies of the Dravidians. In the south the Singhalese advance on the capital progressed slowly as the copper equipped troops of Emperor Frapatu clashed with the bronze forces of the Dravidians and are killed in droves. Only the superior numbers of the Sinhala troops causes their advance. In the middle of the country the troops of Emperor Frapatu fare better and advance nearly to the coast to cut Dravidia in half. The Dravidian navy manages only a few sorties to whittle down the Singhalese fleet in preparation for their massive naval attack. They manage to destroy a few triremes of the Sinhala navy, but lose an equal number themselves. That is until the Dravidian navy comes out to challenge the Sinhala naval patrols and totally defeated in a massive pitched battle, the largest naval engagement in the world up to this point.

The new United Empire of Australia continues to expand and begins a road network to unite newly incorporated territories. They also meet a people from a island known as Guinea.

In Mongolia the various tribes raid one another constantly to harass and pillage other villages.

In Canada the Hudson Bay Alliance and Northern Alliance agree to a peace. They both agree to pre war borders except in Winnebago lands where Canada retains their territory. In return the Ojibwa have been expelled from the Northern Alliance and the Cree have forced the Ojibwa into a separate peace treaty effectively linking Cree territories in the west with those from the east.

In France the Spanish and Franks continue to war. The Franks conduct a three pronged assault on Lyon, the former Gaul capital. They take it without much work. However the Franks take advantage of the concentration of the Spanish forces and push them back to the border in the west and push them out from behind the Rhine in the east. The Franks again propose a peace at pre war borders.

The Russians launch an attack on the Scythians catching them completely off guard. The two armies are virtually equal in strength but the Russians had the advantage of surprise. The Scythians pull back deep into their territory in order to marshal their forces and organize. This makes the large Russian gains even larger. However the length of the front causes much dispersion in the Russian Army. However in a bigger blow to the Scythians the Slavs attack as well after the Russian attack making huge gains in their territory. They advance to the gates of the capital.

On the British Isles the English use a Welsh border raid as a pretext for a full fledged invasion, the second major English invasion in recorded history. The Welsh protest saying that there was no such thing as a raid and try to pull Ireland in the war on their side. However lacking any proof that it was all an English ruse the Irish merely express their desire for peace on their neighboring island. The English are nearly twice as many as the Welsh, however the fierce determination of the Welsh prevents the English from taking their capital.

Canada was hurt but not down. The economy was in shambles after high taxes to pay for the war. The army had performed well but was too outnumered something would had to be done. So Constantine sent out orders to try and fix these problems. He ordered a complete ring of forts build along the entire Canada-Cree border. The army was to begin recruiting and soon Canadas economy would be fixed.

However, the campaign would be useless if it were lost. And it could be loss if the economy weren't fixed. The army needed to be increased, but it would decrease from the upgrading. This was a controversy to the emperor, and so he contacted his friends in Arabia for help.

In the war on the Indian subcontinent the Sinhalaese undergo a massive reformation of their military with their new iron weapons. They attack the capital directly with the main army lead by the Emperor. This force meets stubborn resistance and is able only to progress to the gates of Mangalore. However, the second, additional attack on the capital takes the Dravidians completely off guard and that force is able to link up with the first one outside the city. Essentially abandoning the north the Ayrans are able to take the whole of northern Dravidia and Sinhala is able to wade in the sea in celebration. The Dravidians make a plea to Sinhala offering tribute in return for the survial of their race.

On the Australian island/continent the new government continues to expand and even sends a small expedition to an island to the south known as Tasmania. (by the way sheep, where do you want your capital?)

Geystral continues in their military tradition by greatly expanding their armed forces yet again. They venture off to the north and found a small colony on an island off Thailand. They also begin yet another wonder to their military.

A new leader takes control in Guinea! The leader Gin starts a wonder for his people’s culture.

In Canada peace still reigns but as a safeguard the Canadians build a palisade wall to guard against future Cree attacks.

In France the war takes on a decidedly new twist. The Spanish convince the Saxons to come in on their side and the Saxon attacks succeed in pushing the Frankish forces out from behind the Rhine river south to the Danube. It is there they are halted. They are not however halted by the Franks as expected. In a bid to widen the war, after the Spanish did, the Franks offer their easternmost territories to the Etruscans in exchange for their entry into the war on the Frank side. They attack the exposed eastern flank of the Spanish and take much territory and press to the gates of Lyons. However in the west the Spanish succeed in pushing deep into Frankish territory, but these gains are bought at a devastating price in men and material as the bronze equipped armies of the Franks slice though the armor and weapons of the Spanish. In Africa the small under equipped Spanish expedition sees itself being steadily outnumbered by the rebellious Moroccans. They therefore decide to build a series of fortified towns essentially granting the Moroccans the time they needed to consolidate the rest of the country and form a working government.

In the mideast the Arabians develop iron technology with help from their Singhalese allies. They then use this new technology to wade into the barbarian horde that is the center of their country and begin to unite all individuals of Arab decent.

To the north in the Mideast a new ruler comes to power in the Hittite kingdom promising glory to all who join his army. New soldiers pour into his military and he somehow develops iron tool making, although no one knows how. Conspicuously however, a few of the new ironsmiths in Arabia turn up missing… He then declares war on the Assyrian Empire and makes some significant gains against them.

In Central America the Hondurans travel up the west coast of Azteca and build a fort to the north of their territory. The Aztecs don’t like this at all but they are willing to wait and see what becomes of it. The Hondurans meet two new peoples, the Navajo and the Mojave.

In East Europe the Russians and Slavs continue to attack they Scythians without mercy. They Scythians concentrate much of their army to the defense of their capital and pushing the Slavs back. This action allows the Russians to instead threaten the Scythian capital.

England continues it’s attack on Wales. However lacking any direct leadership from their king the English are reluctant to take the capital and instead just pillage the countryside.

He ordered the construction of a fort/town called "Muscat" in Southeastern Arabia. From there, the Arabs were to expand towards Aden, inviting all bedouin tribes to join them. i hope to do an update tommorrow but i can't promise it as i'll need to head home for my mothers b-day, i'll try though.

The war against the Dravidians were going the Sinhala way. After sticking to the war even with the huge losses aquired from the last push, Sinhala was able to achieve a surrender plea from the Dravidians. While Sinhala did sympathesize with the plea from the Dravidians, countless Sinhalese did not die for the Dravidians to still exist and maybe even later attack Sinhala. It was a threat to national security, a threat the new emperor Haka Jamao could not take. He ordered what would hope to be the last strike against the failing empire.

Our five provinces have had many changes in time and feature. Morroco escaped the Spanish Government and so the Gaul Capitol is ours making a new province when it is totally secure.

While our military is in France, our people are in the heart of Spain. Even while the wars go on, our hearts do too.

New activities have begun in Madrid and new structures have been started. One of the most famous is the Bull Fighting. It is where a man fights a bull. A collosium has been started to run these activities for the people. Many love it. It has been called, El Burro, the Bull.

In Grenada, a city in Spain, a structure has been started. It will be called Alhambra in Grenada. This structure of mud brick and a new technology in our architecture will prove the best in the world. Many will travel to see this great structure and I will be there as well with my many wifes.

Sure.

Emperor Amon in Geystral orders his smartest men in the lands to begin working with chemicals to develop special potions and do tricks normally associated with witchcraft. However his wise men figure some of this stuff out and it’s witchcraft no longer.

In Central America the Honduran Army gets equipped with the newest weapons available in the kingdom. They also expand their meager holdings to the north of Azteca. The Aztecans don’t like this so much, and neither do the Apaches. Both nations offer to buy the land from the Hondurans, but the “offer” to buy is a thinly veiled threat.

In Southwest Asia the Arabs expand deeper into the interior of their peninsula with their new iron armies. To the north the Sumer empire collapses and is replaced by the Babylonians, who hail from the same area. The Babylonian Empire is a shadow of the former Sumerian one and many of the surrounding nations seize upon the opportunity to expand their territory at the Babylonian’s expense. However the threat of the Hittites remains as they push the Assyrians back and attack the Sicilians holdings in the Levant. However the Hittites have been lax with their weapons and now every nation from Greece to Persia has knowledge of iron. (and that includes Sicily)

In Guinea the new ruler wishes to connect the isolated jungle tribes with roads the project is an ambitious one and won’t be completed for 100 years. Nevertheless the tribes that are linked up enjoy unprecedented economic growth and vitality.

The English finally succeed in taking the Welsh capital (again). However welsh resistance isn’t by any means dead. They retreat from their capital to the far western peninsula of the British island and redoubt there.

The Russians makes peace with the Scythians and gain huge swaths of territory. Without the Russian Army to contend with they turn all of their power to beating the Slavs and push them back from whence they came. Also the monument to Siberian exploration is finished and the Russians begin a new age of expansion, albeit very slowly.

The Sicilians finish their wondrous Desert markets in the Sahara which brings a few of the Saharan tribes to join the Sicilians. Most ominous is the horrible weakness in the Sicilian Army, as shown by their crumbling in the face of the Hittite armies.

The Spanish meet near disaster, but their savior might be waiting in the wind. The Spanish military facing nearly 3 to 1 odds, against a superiorly equipped enemy are pushed back almost to the Pyrenees mountains. The only holdouts are two ancient forts that are expected to fall very, very quickly to Frankish armies. A disasters is prevented however by the words of their King Amirsan, he rallies the troops keeping moral high despite the military setbacks, in addition an extra 100 men are recruited because of their patriotic fervor. In much better news the Catalan Library is finished which brings the knowledge of Iron to the Iberian peninsula. (and by the way amirsan, after this new wonder you’ll be unable to make any others until the next age)

On the Indian Subcontinent the Singhalese succeed in taking the Dravidian capital of Mangalore but the government doesn’t surrender and instead retreats to the city of Mumbai. That city, fortified from attack, is the only thing preventing totally Singhalese domination of Dravidia.

i've only done front page stats for player nations not NPC's, sorry but as i said it was my mother's birthday, so i had to head home.

Amirsan, i don't want you to feel this way but, look at it. you have nearly 1/3 the troops that your opponents have, plus they have fully upgrade bronze armies and you are still fighting with copper. not only that but your enemies have made tons of chances for peace with you, you had plenty of time to get out while the getting was good. also there is no reason they would sit by and let you gang up on them without getting their friends involved, all thats happend is that your opponents have responded in kind to actions you've taken toward them. furthermore, in this nes EVERYONE would be well to learn to treat NPC's just like other players, they aren't pushovers.

EDIT: and another thing, i don't want to rant but i legitimatly feel as though i've got to explain my actions as the game is for you to play and therefore i'm doing this to provide a service. amirsan you aren't the only one that has gotten slapped around by a NPC. Constintine was getting beaten by the Hudson Bay alliance til he made peace, Human-slaughter was beaten by the aztecs but made peace before it got too bad for him. I've had plagues thoughout europe and the mideast but miraculosly they died out before hitting spain... i really don't fell like i'm giving the NPC's an unfair advantage. i just fell that i should play them all as though i were a player, that is, not make them sacrificial lambs for the PC's. i don't want any player to think that he can go throughout time without losing a war to an NPC. that way you guys will put more thought into war and not just charge headlong in to battle with NPC's as you might just lose... thank you all and have a nice day

i've got no problems with you in scotland, and yes i did arbitrarliy place the capital, so i'll change it if you wish. you should know though that you've got another player in england, so i don't know if you two want to be so close to oneanother, but it's up to you...

But I used to have 900 troops against them and strategy, tactics and lines every time and I loose 500 troops to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes me think that stories, well thought out strategy is not worth it anymore...

amirsan-Well thought out strategy doesn't work if you are outnumbered and your opponents have an age up on you. It's not THAT good.

Ok, I just have stated THAT when starting the war I had 900 troops, almost double thier army at the time, AND strategy, tactics and lines, now what happend? Its the opposite, how?!?!

Unfortunately while going against more than 1 enemy...They get to grow more than 1 stat a turn...if they need they can grow 3 stats per turn...Which is one of the downsides of these NES's because people don't get bonusses for having a large Empire

1.) The Spaniard Throwing Knives-men: This small weapon is used to throw at the opponent and can kill, this can also be used in spy missions to kill major officials of an enemy nation.

2.) The Spaniard Axemen: This axe is a special one. It can be used to attack the enemy by slicing, draging on the claw or the special Back side which can be used to attack like a sword straight. This is a valuble weapon.

Enemies do not know of this, all enemy citizens are forbidden from our forums or newstands to see thier advertisement to other nations. !!!

Until then, the army will surround the city and starve them.
