But this is why you lost 200 men in your failed naval expedition b/c the romans sank your ships and your men can't swim all the way back to corsica, so they drowned. Arabia

There was no time to rest. With the allegiance of the Median king, Persia was more powerful than ever before. Even more powerful than Arabia herself. Harun al Rashid knew he needed all the help he could get, and then perhaps some divine intervention. A message was already sent to Babylon with a final request of military assistance. Reinforcements were being trained in Basrah to send to the front. Already a tactic was being developed by Mirsad, the young general commanding the Arab army in Persia.

The Battle Plan (For troops within Persia)

1) Upon sight of Persian army, the catapults once designed to be used against the walls of Persopolis are to be put to use against the Persian army itself. Since the Persians are known for fighting in tight military formations, some shots into the middle of the Persian ranks should be fairly efficient.

2) Once catapult launch is succesfull, the troops are to employ a new tactic, we shall call the tortoise formation. In it, all troops will position their shields so as to create a giant armor covering of all soldiers in the formation, preventing spears from the outside and arrows from above. Under this formation, the Arabic troops are to advance at the Persians when they unleash their hail of arrows.

3) As soon as Persian troops advance in close combat, withdraw spears from tortoise formation and shift them outward towards the oncoming enemy. The initial blow should repel the first tide, but from then on, Tortoise formation should be abandoned and instead battle should revert to the traditional tactic of man against man (while keeping general square formation.

4) The camel warriors will in the midst of battle charge and attack the back of the Persian ranks, specifically at the archers, and from there whatever enemy soldiers they can.

5) Battle will ensue in this manner, until any reinforcements, be they Babylonian or Arabs from Basrah, arrive. Battle should then continue in whatever way the general assumes victory will be best achieved in. Tactics and military cunning, should be used in place of numbers to ward off the Persian menace.

The war against the exiles had gone disastrous to the Geystral army...The Exiles had been training for that day for many a century and when the day came they knew exactly how to handle themselves even against the hordes and fine equipment of Geystral...Even with the Anaconda's at Geystral's side the exiles knew how to inflinct heavy losses against Geystral.

The end result of the war after a small talk with the exile leader was the returning of all the exile islands under geystral rule and a MPP was to be signed so the exiles wouldn't have to pay for peace with Geystral...They would fight with Geystral against the threats outside.

beginning update

In the Alps the Roman-Spanish War continues but in a depressed state in the Alps, the major action is to the north. The Romans continue to push the Spanish back, but send most of their army to the north to fight back the Saxons. Therefore with the massive military increase paid for by the Spanish Crown there is little movement at all in the Alps. The Spanish defend with many more men than the Romans and the Romans are thrown back following each assault up the snowy peaks of the Alps. To the north however the disciplined Roman troops throw back the rabble that is the Saxon army, despite having half the troops as the Saxons. They push farther than the Emperor anticipated but they soon reach a stopping point suitable for defense.

In Central Asia a barbarian people have migrated south and begun the Parthian Kingdom. They are cowed by their powerful southern neighbors and the masses of Barbarians to their north. For now they are content to consolidate their power.

On the Japanese Islands the Emperor makes a offer for the Southern nation of Yayoi to join his empire, but they politely refuse. They do however offer to ally themselves with Japan, in the hopes of modernizing their nation.

In the most southern regions of Africa the South Africans make an effort to smelt a compound known as iron. They are unable to do so however without more money for research coming from the great leader Death. They are however able to mine the metal, and others out of the ground for sale to other tribes.

In the Middle East Babylon begins to see the threat posed by Persia and enter the war. They push marginally into Persian territory. The Aryans also respond to the pleas of the Arabians and send 400 men into battle to the east and encounter no resistance. The Arabian army uses new tactics and they are very successful against the Persians for many battles until the Persians adapt to them. The Persians are able to concentrate their army against the Arabs and negate their new formations, pushing them back nearly to their own border before the Babylon assault causes them to redirect forces to protect Tehran.

In Anatolia the Sicilians response to the Assyrians threat is seen as more of an insult than a rejection. They therefore attack with 1200 men and are opposed only by a few hundred Sicilian defenders. The Sicilians, wisely, don’t fight at all and fall back rapidly until they are left only with 2 ports on the Mediterranean. They sit there waiting to be evacuated by the Sicilian navy.

Great Honduras intended to expand to the Andes mountains in the East but once landing find that it is already occupied by the Nazca.

The Geystral colony on Australia is annexed by Australia following years of neglect by the Geystral government. Generations have lived and died there under the Geystral flag but had begun to intermix and associate more with the Australian natives. They had begun to identify more with their neighbors than their ancestors.

The Hudson Bay Alliance and Canada are finally at peace. They agree on a peace proposal and then a Non Aggression Pact to ensure peace between them. The Huron’s independence is assured and the Canadians are given a free hand to act against the Mimac rebels, which they do, almost to excess. The Canadian troops, furious over their perceived defeat unleash hell on the Mimacs, who were only able to muster up militias composed of farmers with pitchforks, as most of their actual troops had already been killed in previous engagements. The Canadian army sweeps though the land looting and pillaging an burning anything they couldn’t carry. Thousands of Mimac men, women and children are slaughtered by the Canadians as their lust for destruction goes on unchecked by their commander, who feels the Mimacs deserve it and must be sufficiently punished.

The Mongolians continue their civil war with style, but no side as of yet has an overall advantage. The army of Krakoum nearly overpowers both of their enemies. However the Kazan’s power is declining daily while the Hutags grow more powerful at the same rate.

The Isles of Britain mobilize for war. Not much happens there but the armies of the Alliance of Isles prepare themselves for a war on the continent.

The Greeks attack the Thracians. Out of nowhere the classical armies of Greece advance on Thracia and occupy much of the south of the country.

A new Warlord arises in China and unites them all under the banner of the Great Han! They also greatly expand their empire and their power in the area.

They Aryans stop their assault at the forts of Sinhala. They send 400 men to Persia to fight at the behest of the Arabs and use the money they gain from them to increase their army and they send it south, to stare at the fortifications of Sinhala. However, much to the surprise of everyone the Mahadah attack the Aryans, feeling that they are uncivilized barbarians. The highly trained armies of Mahadah advance rapidly against minimal resistance offered by local Aryans. The war seems to be turning, in what direction, no one knows.

The war was turning. The Great Khan won major battles against the highly miliateristic Kazan's and almost destroyed them.
But in the East Hutag still grown farther and left their economic lifes to the lifes of war like the rest of the Mongols. Because of that they have not been pushed out of The Khan kingdom.

With the close annexion of Kazan the Khan decided that Mongolia is almost united and he could fully claim the throne as the King of Kings. Temujin have fully changed his name to Genghis Khan.

The Kazan were not a Mongolian tribe at the time of the rise of the Great Khan - they did not exist as civilization, tribe or people.
They rose as a Vassal of the Golden Horde - an Mongol Empire successor state, and were later annexed into the Golden Horde; and finally conquered by Muscovy/Russia and remain a part of Russia to this day.

Sorry this took so long, other things came up, and the map work was difficult sh*t.

South Africa finishes construction of their Great Library in Johannesburg. The knowledge taught there and the vast patronage given it by the African King successfully helps the wise men there in converting a naturally occurring metal known as iron into a legitimate weapon of war.

In the Americas the Alliance lead by Great Honduras changes it’s name and expands greatly with the inclusion of the Apache, Mojave, and Navajo.

In Mongolia the Kazan realize their position and join Genghis Kahn’s crusade to unite the Mongols. The combined armies of the Kahn then attack the southernmost providence of the Hutag. The entire tribe quickly falls to the massive armies. However the Hutag are not idle and mount a northern offensive on Krakorum.

Out of nowhere the Geystral Navy is seen off the shores of Sinhala. The Singhalese patrols engage the massive fleet with hit and run tactics but are beat off each time. Finally the full Singhalese battle fleet is organized for battle and engage the Geystral navy. In the Battle of the Bengal Bay the warships of Geystral and Sinhala fight a running battle up and down the coast, delaying the transports of Geystral. Eventually however the Singhalese navy withdraws battered and the transports land. 400 Screaming Geystral troops pillage and burn the countryside of Sinhala, preventing any economic growth.
To the north the Aryans concentrate all of their forces on two spots on the long line that is the Singhalese front. First the push south and toward the coast cutting off the easternmost fort. They are also able to break through one of the central forts of Sinhala. The bright spot for Sinhala being that they lost few troops in relation to the Aryans, and that Mahadah forces pushed deep into Aryan territory.

In Persia the Persian army concentrates all of it’s forces on Babylon and pushes them back from whence they came. The Arabians take advantage of this situation and push on Parsagrade the Persian capital with mixed results, not too many casualties, but little land, as the Persian commander is willing to delay the Arab armies with maneuver. The Aryans also pull out of Persia.

The Australians send a colonization fleet out into the eastern depths. It quickly returns after encountering seas that are impossible to navigate.

The war between the Romans and Spain heats up with an attack by the Spanish. They attack with their whole army in the south and make huge gains pushing the Romans back. But soon the Romans see a critical flaw in the formations of the Spanish. The Spanish had been advancing in a loose formation to avoid Roman archers. Due to their overwhelming numbers, it hadn’t been exploited until the Battle of Genoa. There the disciplined Roman Legions massacred the loosely defended Spanish lines. Getting in the middle of their formation the Romans were able to cut up the Spanish who were unable to come to each others aid in the melee.

Also the Greeks and Thracians make peace.

Geystral had been paid to attack Sinhala by the Aryans...So they did and successful was their mission.The army and navy of Geystral were far too puperior to be defeated by the Sinhalese. For the Geystral gitulen had crossbows,Anaconda's,Chemistry,and Iron equipment all together on these bastards.

[The first battle of Sinhala]

The local sinhalese conscript army was in the area of where the Geystral gitulen landed.Their numbers ranging from about 700-1000 men...The Geystral gitulen were obligingly courageous and willing to die for their Emperor.For it was dishonor to flee when not told to.

The screaming men that got dropped out of the donen were calmed down by Daos Gisrei.His steady spirit and determination wouldn't let his eyes be torn apart by disorder...So he commanded his likoten(leutennants) to command the gitulen to the best of their abilities (And Geystral likoten deffinetly have ability!)

The screaming men of Geystral were calmed and the enemy conscript army marched upon them...Trying to rid their lands of this menace they were anxious to get upon the enemy...Marching in disorder and haste.

"Crossbowmen!" Shouted Daos Gisrei as the crossbowmen readied their bows at an angle to hit the enemies "FIRE!" they let loose with arrows and started cutting the enemies to pieces...The enemy pace hastened even more.

"Snake riders!" once again shouted the Geystral Daos Gisrei as the snake riders readied their crossbows and stood firm "FIRE!" was heard among them as their Daos ordered...Cutting down more of the barely armored conscripts.Then the snake riders readied their swords and bunched up into one unit in the center of the field...Acompanied by a tetatchment of 50 unmanned battle snakes they rode into the heart of the enemy

"Gitulen fier!" was heard as all the rest of the men marched out at the enemy and the battle ensued.At first the Geystral men pushed the enemy back...The enemy fighting with tooth and nail but their efforts were in vein.The snake riders were able to cut the army in half and holding off the other half the whole gitul army of Geystral that was their focussed on 1 side at a time...Beating the enemy conscripts and winning the day with only 40 losses.

[Second battle at Sinhala]

A guide that was in the pay of the Daos Gisrei had told the Daos that their was a farm on the other side of a forest well worth pillaging.So Daos Gisrei's inntial reaction was humble...Wishing to destroy this farm he sent word threwout the camp that they were going to march on the next day.

"Where shall we go threw the forest?" Daos Gisrei asked the guide.

"There's a road that leads threw the forest...It will serve as plenty enough path to get your army threw to the farm" replied the guide.

"Likot Fermie...You must command 100 men and you Likot Lordink, you must command another 100 men." Commanded Daos Gisrei as the Likoten nodded their heads in obeyance.

The next day the army was summoned at the Daos's request and the raiding of the forest was about to happen...But Daos Gisrei wasn't about to show weakness...Just because he had beaten a huge conscript army didn't mean their wasn't going to be more!So he commanded his Likoten

"Likot Fermie...You and your men go to the left of the road...Stay 200 meters away.Likot Lordink you to the right of the road..Same distance as Fermie." Commanded Daos Gisrei "We will meet at the other side of the forest..Fire an arrow of fire into the sky if you happen to be in trouble.If one see's an arrow of fire...You must make hast to that place" Gisrei continued and the Likoten agreed.

So the Geystral gitulen marched and threw the road they went when an arrow hit one soldier in the arm...Already had an arrow of fire been set up for this occasion and so it was let loose.(Continued oil on the arrow tip is how it was continually kept)The 2 Likoten attacked the enemies rear only seconds after and making haste the geystral soldiers took many prisoners...And 10 Gitulen were dead..Others wounded but with the help of Chemistry they were healed.

They regrouped and the 3 armies set off again in their sections and made the rest of the day a happy day as they lived off the farm on the other side for a few days.

Many a celebration happened after the victories of Sinhala back in Geystral...And the Emperor handed out the surpluss food stores once again and made the people happy.A celebration in Geystral (city) was held and it lasted for about 10 hours...The people going home drunker than **** that day held the Emperor in high esteem.

how would heine's troops counter my loose formation if he has not supplied training or orders or even the slightest way of telling thier troops to "beware of loose formation". In Israel a small sect of Judaism grows and becomes it’s own religion. Christianity flourishes throughout, Israel, Assyria, and Egypt following the journey of a man named Jesus Christ.

Macedonia launches an invasion of Illyria. Macedon troops, some of the most professional in South Europe march en mass across the Illyrian border and meet the organized army at Kosovo. In the Battle the Macedon phalangites smash the combined armies of the Illyrian nations and rapid subjugate the Bosnian people.

The Greeks renew their naked aggression in Thrace. Hoplites, ignoring a peace treaty in effect for nearly 3 generations surge across Thracian territory and smash all that rise against them. Greek troops, the best trained in Europe meet nearly no resistance of note from Thracian troops. The Greeks now stand at the gates of Bucharest, the Thracian capital.

The Parthians attack the Persians from the north. Taking advantage of the situation the Parthians have assaulted south against the poorly protected northern border of Persia. The Parthians have had much success, considering that most of the Persian Army is off fighting other battles. However where the Persian army does fight it smashes all in it’s path. Peace with the Arabians means that Persia can send the full weight of it’s armies into Babylon. They throw the Babylon warriors past the Tigris River and continue to push them back until almost the gates of Babylon itself.

Aryan Kingdom Collapses in upon itself! It breaks up under the strain of a long war with Sinhala and a devastating one against Magadah. It breaks up into 4 separate Kingdoms each with their own distinct leader. The Southernmost Kingdom, Satavahanihara, vows to continue the war against the evil Singhalese to the south. The Kalinga, make peace with Mahadah and the other two kingdoms in the west remain neutral in all affairs on the Subcontinent. However the Suren Kingdom in the far west attack the Persians hoping to gain may lands in the area. The Singhalese take advantage of the confusion of the troops of former Aryan commanders and take back some of the forts that they had lost. The formerly Aryan troops rapidly recover however and most pledge alliangence to the Satavahanihara King, and wish to continue fighting the good fight.

After staging a brilliant hit and run attack designed to hinder the economic growth of Sinhala, Geystral gets back on their Don and head home. They are delirious with victory until on their return trip they run fact to face with the Magadah Fleet. Far from being powerful the Magadah fleet do engage the powerful Geystral navy. While being annihilated the Magdah do manage to sink 5 warships and one transport, a grand total of 6 ships and 40 men.

In Kerasut the Emperor decrees a massive increase in the funding for education and knowledge. It brings Kerasut up to one of the most educated nations in Southeast Asia.

The Japanese expand their holdings on mainland Asia, somewhat angering the Koguryo.


The Spanish smash though Roman lines. The superior training of Spanish troops finally shows itself and the Roman troops were left nearly alone to defend a long border. The Spanish charge though their lines in the south and rapidly turn executing a brilliant flanking maneuver of the Roman lines, capturing and destroying many Cohorts.

Scotland enters war on the European Continent. Along with their allies in Ireland (the English king was apparently sleeping and didn’t get the memo about war) the Scots invade both Normandy and Saxony at the same time. It at first looks like the outnumbers troops from the Alliance of the Isles would be crush but then the Franks attack the Normans relieving the pressure on the Scots and Irish. The Saxons pay little heed to the small invasion in the north, they merely hid behind the walls to their capital and leave their army on the frontiers as they are worried about their southern and eastern borders, with good reason. German troops cross the Saxon frontier! Taking into account a history of strained relations and constant border disputes the Germans have attacked all across the shared border and pushed into Saxony. The war that Saxony is engaged with Scotland has given impetus to the German King who thinks that all of Saxony should be under his control.

The South Africans advance south and swipe all Barbarians from their path with their superior weapons. They have contact with a few of the tribes in their area, namely Rozwi (green), Mwenemutapa (light green/gray), and Great Zimbabwe (brown). Only the Rozwi are willing to ally at this time.

The Canadians launch a sea bourn attack on the Beothk. They Canadian navy transported nearly 900 men to the area and despite knowing about Canada’s history of assaults from the sea they are totally unprepared for the attack. They take a large portion of Newfoundland but are unable to storm the capital city itself and seize it. However they are advancing nearly at will throughout the rest of the country.

In Central America the Great Leader of Great Honduras orders a ambitious journey, possibly the most ambitious in recorded history. He sends his 5 best ships and 200 of his best men to sail north and explore the unexplored. Along the way north they make contact with the Delaware, Cherokee, and Canadians. They are held up in Canadian ports however due to the war being fought over the sea with the Beothk.

The Australians try once again to sail out into the vast expanse that is the ocean in the hopes of reaching a far away land. Alas their ships are far too puny to get anywhere out to sea at all.

Consul Gayai began touring the forts that had saved the Sinhalese from absolute destruction. He was a tall man, tall and slim, definetly not a wartime-looking consul. He slim figure made him look like a man of politics. But he wasn't. He had taken control of the Council with full powers granted to him, and had been able to drive the outnumbered and outclasses Sinhalese soldiers to some kind of victory. Even though most of Sinhalese continental land had been taken, it was still a victory for the Sinhalese - they had managed to stay alive despite TWO invasion from much stronger foriegn powers. A statue was planned to be erected in the new city of Kaha, the place of the new Capital, on Ceylon. The statue would be called the Statue to Sinhala. It would commemorate all those lost to save the land, and would commemorate the triumphs the Sinhalese had against overwhelming foes. It was expected to be a statue of a Sinhalese soilder holding a spear jutted towards ths sky.

Another statue was also planned to be erected, one in honor of the Magadah who had definetly saved the Sinhalese from immediate destruction. It would be of a Magadah scribe, holding a scroll of papyrus imported from Arabia. These two statues, side by side, would be constructed in the Republican Garden, a huge three hundred by five hundred yard garden within the center of the new city of Kaha.

The new city of Kaha isn't actually new. In fact, it is still the same capital city as before, but remodeled. After the war, the Council approved of a construction of a huge garden called the Republican Garden in the center of the capital. Going past that, Council member Seyaia proposed that the whole city would be demolished, and upon it a new city built. It would be one of magnificent white walls and humungous trees that would show the power and influence that Sinhala once had, and will once again.

Many lands in the north were affected by the war. Especially in the lands the forts were constructed, scourged fields lay under the dead sun, burnt towns lay in rubble. The Forts, now nicknamed Gayai Line (named after the Consul who approved of the building) had been built on top of strategic locations, regardless of it in the middle of a crop field or a town or a open field. Thus the period of Reconsctruction in Northern India would be born.

Reconstruction would not just target the north and physical damage, but of political damage. The war itself had brought around the dissolvance of all four politcal parties that were once the pride of the New Sinhalese Republic. Instead, three parties took their place. These were the Agrarian Republicans, Republicans, and Reformed Imperialists. The strongest party and most popular were the Republicans, with having strong ties to Ceylon where most of the population is centered now. On the continent, Agrarian Republicans dominated, with beliefs in non-government intervention in the economy and small farm plantations. The Reformed Imperialists were not sectional, rather were national, but on the contrary to one would think they are the least popular.

After the Consul had given up emergency powers, democracy was restored and elections for the council and consul commensed within the temporary capital of Hasia.

The results weren't surprising.
Out of 112 seats on the council:
76 belonged to the Republicans
24 belonged to the Agrarian Republicans
12 belonged to the Reformed Imperialists

A Republican consul was also elected, a Geya Hayam, with almost 83% of the votes. He immediately began where Gayai left off with the funding of the new city and the statues to begin building. He ordered a downgrade in the army so that more men could be put to work in other ways. He also ordered the eventual recreation of the Sinhalese navy, which was almost completely destroyed in the wars. Giving the necessary economy, Geya could almost make this happen. Unfortunately it was a time of limited prosperity. His main focus thus would be the strengthening of the economy for the future of all Sinhalese and for the ability to govern with the authority of money instead of military force.

And so Sinhala was reborn. A new age, a new capital, a new council and consul, a new time. It was Sinhala's time.

"BLOW THE BUTT TRUMPETS OF WAR!!!" Daos Gerdez screamed and quickly after the trumpets were sounded and men prepared themselves for the Mahadah ships that were attacking out of nowhere.

The enemy ships numbered 5 and they were coming at the Geystral ships...in a spread out formation so it wouldn't be so easy to nail them.They let loose with their catipults as the Geystral navy were preparing theirs..They focussed on 2 ships and those 2 started to sink luckily,then the Geystral ships let out their shots and nailed 3 of the enemies and they were sinking.

Another 5 ships appeared on the other side of the Geystral navy...The Geystral ships were ready for this though as Daos Gerdez was no idiot and knew this was bound to happen..But the enemies got the first shots off again...And their luck knew no bounds as 2 more ships were hit and sinking.

The 2 ships that were left from then first attack rammed into 2 other ships and both the ships and the 2 others were plummeting to the bottom of the sea.

"FIRE!" said Daos Gerdez as the ships volleyed against the other attack...Taking down the rest of their ships..the day was won at the cost of 6 ships unfortunately by the luck of his enemies.

Arabia

It had been thousands of years, but Arabia was still not unified. There were still barbarians on the inside of the peninsula who wished to halt the empire's progress, mocking it with their border clashes and independent life style. Most of this was happening in the Rub Al Khali, or the empty quarter where there was nothing but desert. Strategically the land was worthless, but it was a critical part of the Arabian heritage. It was also the stronghold of the barbarians, where only they were able to survive. As long as the Rub Al Khali remained outside of Arabia, the people would think that Arabia could not match the barbarians. This enraged Al Rashid, who immediatly orderes his armies to drill and then take the Rub al Khali. Considering it was desert, the Camel warriors would surely be of use.

Peace has been made with Rome! Peace has been made with Rome!

Those words flood the streets with pride and hapiness as they knew thier king would take them through victory. Day after day many come to thank and learn from the King, many love the fact that thier nation is an Empire. They have went a long way from the explorers of thier ancestors.

The nine states of Spain have united as the United States of Espania (USE or USoE) as the most powerful force in Europe. We are pround to say. Though many wars have brought us to this, and many of our recent enemies fear us. We try to rid this fear, becuase we do not like it. Though now we try to make new friends.

There is a land all the way across the great Sea. We have heard of these lands from Sicily, an empire of the Mediteranean. Though very weak and exhausted through wars with these people they have learned that they have no place in the land across the sea in which we call the Middle East.

I have vaugly heard of a man named Jesus Christ. This man, a savior as they call it here in Spain, has fought for a new religion under a force called God. We accepted him in great strength and have wondered if he was still alive. He was known to come from Israel, where he was born in Nazereth, the Holy Land. We want to perserve this Holy Land, for it brings the true inspiration in me and maybe my whole people. We have went on a quest to learn more of this new "Christianity".

This land of the Mid East was sounding to be very profitable if we started in trade with them. We decided that is what we will do. We will start trade with one of these nations. And our first request will be to Israel, the Holy Land.

All South African nations agree to ally in a new powerful alliance. Under the guidance of the South Africans, the Mwenemutapa and Great Zimbabwe agree to join the alliance. There is promising hope for the future of all of the nations.

Peace is finally signed in South Asia. The former Aryan tribes lack the stomach for war that they once had and following independence from the Aryan crown make peace with Sinhala. All over the continent this news is greeted with great joy and celebration. The Singhalese restore the Consulship and true Republican forms of government and also send many men home making them, and the economy, very happy. They also start a new wonder to commemorate the victory.

In North America the Canadians continue to press the war. The Bethouks nearly had the Canadian advance stopped at one point but fresh troops from the mainland are rushed into battle and smash though Bethouk lines and take their capital. The Bethouk are running for their lives now and aren’t expected to last long.

Great Honduras sets up a small colony with the assistance of Canada on Newfoundland. There they begin a great dock designed to make their navy more powerful than any encountered nation. The increase in knowledge also brings Honduras into the Classical Age.

The Romans and the Spanish agree to peace.

Following peace with the Romans the unquenchable Spanish lust for war turns it's ugly head toward Sicily. Transports disquised as tradeships destined to the Berbers turn toward Sicilian Carthage and land troops there. While the Spanish navy is incredibly small and unable to transport many troops there is no organized resistance from the Siclians apart from farmer militias. They advance nearly to Carthage itself before stopping to reconstitue their advance.

Australia expands deeper into the continent but is unable to increase their education as the government has no money at all. They are able to start the Great Port of Brisbane however and that helps the moral of the people.

Mongolia attacks the Hutag with overwhelming force, sending them hurtling back to their home tribe with grevious losses.

The English perform an absolutely brilliant amphibious assault of the Saxony capital causing the monarchy in that country to fall to barbarians. Along with German and Scottish assaults the Saxon government is no more. Because of the patriotic fervor surrounding the attacks the English military swells with new recruits. The Franks are also able to storm the Norman capital of Caen and take over what is left of that country. With the peace with Rome it would seem that the wars of West Euope are over, for now...

Arabia finishes it’s order of Basra and the people unify behind the peace that the government had achieved. More men join the army and the citizens are more loyal to the powers that be.

The Greeks totally complete their conquest of the Thracians shortly before the Macedonians eliminate the last vestiges of Illyrian resistance.

Today the High King of the Gael Clanhold has died and a dispute between Ireland and Scotland has arise over the Successor to the High Throne of the Clanhold.

The Two candidates:
King-Royal James II of the House MacAlpine of Scotland
King-Royal Eion III of the House Durrow of Ireland

The dispute has become quite heated as whatever Kingdom recieves the High Throne of the Clanhold becomes the leader and the other enters into Vassalage to the leading nation.

The House MacAlpine claim that Scotland has the right to assume the High Kingship due to our posession of the Stone of Destiny.
The House Durrow claims that the Scots Stone of Destiny is fake and that they deserve the High Kingship as a divine right.

In response to the tension and deadlock between the two nations the King-Royals of both nations visited with the King of the Franks to appeal to him to resolve the issue and oversee the assention of the new High King.

The Frankish King chose the King-Royal of Scotland to assume the leadership of the Clanhold.

Treaty of Utrecht

Scotland has proposed that a meeting be held in Utrecht between Scotland, Britain, France and the Norman/Saxon/Dutch nobles of the low countries region to determine the fate of the Region.

This meeting is to create an agreement or Treaty called the Treaty of Utrecht.

Spain: The World is going down on us!

My father has done many wrong things. This has put me in a bad position against my neigbors. They fear Spain, which many may think is good, though I think it is stupidity. No one should fear anyone, in my opinion, the only power who should be feared is God. Though whether or not, they still fear Imperial Spain. The nation is very powerful though we are not as interested at another war with another force after Sicily. Though the world does not believe me.

I have only called to the throne 10 years ago. I have been collided with a commanded and planned attack of Sicily. I have decided that I will immeditaly make peace with them, as our first step to a peaceful Spain.

Spain has forever commited itself to countless wars, making them the most powerful nation in all of Europe. This was thanks to my skillful father, though he lacked diplomatic powers. I will commit myself to re-writing my foriegn policy. We will declare ouselves peaceful unless attacked! The only way to do this is to make a reasonable peace with Sicily.

We had no friends, at any part of the world. We have betrayed the trust of those around us. We have made those of us scared of us, as we were monsters. From now and on, we will now commit ourselves to peace and avoid war at any cost. Only in one condition if we are attacked by another force. This is our new foriegn policy, this is our new way of life.

In my childhood, I have learned of many legends speaking of a mystical place called India. A land ruled by a kingdom called Sinhala. Though I do not know where they are, I have learned of thier mystical way of life. Where thier cities ruled the way thier country was ran, and where people visit a place, were they speak for each other. I have dreamed for this until now, I want Spain to become this. Geystral had been suffering from the blow it took in economy from the last 50 years in expanding it's trade and everything...So the Geystral people decided to make a wonder...A wonder that would increase the navy (Too bad the economy's suffering).

Once the most powerful nation in South Asia. Capable of waging an affective war against any nation that dared it. Sinhala has fallen from power. In the ancient wars of the past, Sinhala had been reduced to a minor nation, one that was not worth the trouble others had to put to conquer it. The army was small, the navy laughable. Education was a thing of the past, in a time where the Emperor put forth the gold and currency capable of running such a system as education. Now there were only four schools, one in each of the four great cities: Anuradhapura, Trivandrum, Mangalor and Belgaum. From here, and here only, were the nobles tought the ways of the government, lands, and technology. Only here were the traditions of learned Singhalese continuing.

The Republic - this was a different story. While the rest of Sinhala may be in the past, the Republic is not. Made up of the Senate and the Consul, the Republic was as strong as ever. It had fought off the Aryans and the Geystralese, both much more powerful foes then they would have ever imagined. The Republic had brought freedoms and liberty the Singhalese, the first ever to recieve such rights. The Republic was responsible for the understandably large purchasing power the Singhalese had. THe Republic was just about the only thing good still going for the Singhalese, and the new Consul was there to make sure it carried on.

The Mongol tribes were almost united.
Hutag shall soon fall and all Mongol tribes wil be united under the Great Khan.

Hutag armies failed again and again at stopping the might of the Mongols and only their last own tribe and capital were left. This time nothing will be left to luck. All the armies were moving towards Hutag capital to conquer it and add all their peole into the army.

The weopnse of Bronze that were discovered a long time ago were going to be used in the attack.
The old tactics of win the battle take the troops were also used. And Hutag was under siege.

But now Mongolis stand in the middle of many barbarian tribes, just like Mongolia were, some of them are even Mongols! Mongolia decided to show them the control of the Khan and sent 700 men southward to conquer barbarian lands, adding their people to the army and inslaving non-Mongols or non-Kazan to improve economy.

The new King Amir the II has taken rule of all Imperial Spain. He has grew very weary of his father's decisions to enter in so many wars. Entering reign of the king at the age of 34, he began the thought of a new Republic including the freedom of speech originated in Sinhala.

Scottish thoughts on the new Foriegn Policy!

This new Foriegn Policy issued with the peace of Sicily and the announcement of the New Republic has startled many in the world. One of which is the Scottish king, Lmsw. We fear a coming war with them and thier alliance, claiming that we plan to attack them any year now. "We were threatened by this ourselves" said King Amir. Tensions are on fire between Spain and Scotland from the war around 1000 years ago, they label us as enemies, growing fearsome of our growing power and numerous wars. "All Spain can do is prepare if a war is to come and defend against any attack" said Jose Vasquez, the military commander, "we will not throw the first punch."

Peace is made with Sicily!
The Treaty of Madrid has been signed to ensure peace between the two countries. Winning many lands with only 150 soldiers Spain won the upper side of the deal though has strained relations with Sicily. One hundred pounds of gold will be sent to thier capitol as comensation when the Espanian economy heals from its deap depression.

New states entered in the Union!
There is now a total of 12 states in the United States of Espania/The Republican State of Spain (USE/RSS). Many are happy of this change to ensure more governors and a better control of the region to quell any corruption and crime. The latest states added were counted up to 4 new states. One of which is the new Carthage in northern Africa annexed by Sicily. New Rome, Grenada, Castille has been added and chosen provinces has been renamed. Elections will be open to start in 50 years when the government is ensured and the New Republic is formed officially. The Treaty of Utrecht is signed ending the Wars of European Dominance. Under the treaty the new nation of the Netherlands is formed and peace reins again in Europe. Ireland accepts the Scottish King as it’s ruler and Britain, Germany and France all give land to the young nation. Sicily cedes some of it’s African lands to Spain under a separate treaty and the formerly large Sicilian nation is reduced to the land known as Libya, Malta, Sardine and their home, Sicily.

South Africa expands to the north in concert with their allies. Most importantly, however, the South African king orders education to be a top priority in his nation. After many years of investment it pays off. The South Africans become the first Sub-Saharan nation to pull themselves into the classical age. A period of enlightenment spreads in the area with the African nation’s citizens being the most enlightened in the known world (at least their known world).

Spain rewrites it’s foreign policy and it’s government. Ceasing it’s expansionist ways and abandoning the monarchy that had given it unbridled power in west Europe, Spain reverts to isolationism and a Republic. Many of the regular citizens are overjoyed at this news, for it meant a end to warfare for them and more say in their government. However, the rich and powerful are very unhappy with the new arrangement. The nobles that made up the majority of the aristocracy pair up with a small number of army officers that express anger over and end to war, and with it an end to their procurement of personal fiefdoms. While no outright call to arms has been issued the nobles have marshaled small militias to their cause and declared that they won’t listen to any orders from the new government. The former army commanders have likewise turned their back on the new army and have been given command of the aristocracy’s forces. (and amirsan this will be your last wonder til the next age.

Geystal feels the crunch of nearby powers and their military growth and initiates the construction of a new port designed to produce many ships for the Geystral navy. The Docks of M'glayfen will take nearly two centuries to finish, after taking into account the draining of the surrounding lands for use as a harbor and the construction of a man made dock. Farmers in Geystral follow their leader’s lead in his order to farm craftily, and they do so, in spades.

The infant religion of Christianity spreads into areas of the Middle East. Many followers of the new religion head out of Israel, where few listen with any interest in the religion, to other lands to spread their religion. In the surrounding nations many listen with interest and isolated pockets of the new religion spring up in Assyria, Arabia, Egypt and even Greek Cyprus and Persia.

Japan’s Manchurian possessions gets an influx of settlers to the area aiming to “clean” up the area for Japanese incorporation. They begin modern farming and build harbors and roads to transport their goods back to Japan. The Japanese Army is also sent out to expand the area and protect the new settlers.

The Mongolians are finally united under one leader. The Great Kahn, so confident of his imminent victory over the Hutu sends a good portion of his army south, to take those lands for himself. The Barbarians there are no match for the huge Mongolian armies and they readily accept the rule of the Great Kahn, as opposed to being slaughtered. The remainder of the Mongolian army smashes into the last remaining Hutags and utterly wipe them out to a man. Hundreds of Hutags are killed in a battle in which neither side gave any quarter.

Canada finishes the destruction of the Bethouks with a crushing attack on their final stronghold.

I will set up a mayorial system where you control your small province of a state and all the cities in it as a mayor. You will control the economy and help it in any way as your province. any minute now? Its almost 24 hours sinse your finished your update. This gane is soooooo slow. Many are losing interest (not realy me, but others).

The South Africans expand further north but are slowed as their government bureaucracy is difficult to establish in the wild unknown that lies north of South Africa.

Canada continues to assert control over their newly acquired territories. It is slow work, as the local populace is discontent with what they still see as foreign rule, but they see no recourse short of open rebellion, and for now that is out of the question. In the meantime a new round of library building in Canada increases the reservoir of knowledge in that nation.

Sinhala sends an exploratory mission south from their Maldives islands hoping to land on the two islands to the south of their own possessions. The natives there had heard of a glorious nation to the north and are eager to join Sinhala.

Mongolia sends it’s riders into battle against non-Mongols for the first time in history! United behind their Kahn the Mongol riders ride against the unorganized barbarians near China. Overrunning them with ease the Mongols take few casualties and join much territory to their own. The rest of the neighboring barbarian tribes are beginning to fear the rapid and nearly unchecked expansion of the Mongol hordes.

In the mideast the Christian movement continues to spread like wildfire. It’s appeal spreads from south Europe to Arabia and from Persia to Greece. Missionaries travel to far corners of the world to preach but are found to be most inclined toward Arabia and Assyria. In those two nations the government has forbidden any anti-Christian actions, thereby granting a sort of legitimacy to the new religion.

In Spain the potential revolt by the nobility is prevented by the skillful diplomacy of President Amir. His retention of near absolute power and the guarantees to the rich lead many to believe that the Republic is a sham and nothing more than the old order with a new name. This dissatisfaction causes the wonder of Spain to garner no growth these past few years.

The Mongol empire begun it's fast grouth. Rumors that Hut of past Hutag was of another breed than Mongolian were prooven right. He was somthing called Chinese and the Mongolians knew they are stronger.

In Karakuram the Great financical tent was being built to fix the economic problems befor a great conquest coming.

The armies were sent south, south east and east to expand for Mongolia, using the Bronze keshik horse archer.
The amounts were amazing and the Khan went with them into the fight showing his own bow skills.
