I've completed the terrain graphics now, and just need to clean a few details up (like some pink edges).
I will not be releasing this unlil after conquests has been released, as I will only be using the Conquests editor to make mods.

Mod Details.

Your civilization has been deemed evil and irresponsible. You are not worthy to live in the upperworld and have been banished to the subterrainean realms. Your objectives are to dominate your opponents, or to tunnel your way to the surface by building a massive drilling engine.

Civs currently planned are the usual fantasy races. 3 or 4 races of men (representing the original civ culture groups), Amazons, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Chaos worshipers, and dinosaur breeders.

The City is now a portal (a nod to dungeon keeper), around which chambers are built. The different coloured rooms represent differend ground types.

Land is now different types of stone with different properties. Currently Sandstone, stone, earth, and granite.

Hills are now pits. Mountains are impassable pillars (holding up the dungeon roof).

Jungle has become forests of underground fungus.

Farm the piggies! Wasteground with underground pigs replaces forest (credit to whichever Civfanatic originally created the pig graphic).

The three classes of city. The portal, the Hellmouth, and the Abyss.

Magic plays a big part in the game. The magical symbols are the Outpost, the radar tower (basically magical early warning devices), and a pentagram representing the airfield. Spells replace aircraft, and can be launched from these pentagrams.
Also featured are the Fortress and a fortified dungeon room. A mine, and a colony.

Roads and railroads become these archways marking territory and safe paths. The railroad is the red symbol, marking a magical path that teleports the traveller.

Finally a barbarian portal, and the goody huts - treasure chests.

Hopefully when conquests is released I'll be able to build the mod, complete with buildings that spawn warriors, and sacrificial temples and slavery.

I'm really looking forward to this. :)
I think that the pentagram should be isometric.

You guys notice how old this thread is? Is this even being worked on anymore? Looks cool, but it's either done and in the graphix forum or was given up on.

This was never(and I doubt it will ever be) done. The lesson to be learned here is: DONT BUMP THESE OLD THREADS! Thank you.

He may drop by, and be encouraged to release the terrain pack. You never know.

A shame - it looks such a clever and imaginative idea. Makes we want to crack out Dungeon Keeper II and slap a few imps.

hmm... someone might send Lab Monkey an e-mail. I guess, this is the better way to remember him to continue with his work ;)
