Hey All,

cruisin along at my current project when I run into a problem. Probobly a newbie question, but how do you get more colors for a unit? Currently I use FLICster, make a pcx image, load it into PSP 8.0 and go to work. But I only get to use the colors already in that unit. So if I were trying to say, put the gold hammer and sickle on a say, gray brown Russian infanry unit, it proves impossible to do because gold wasn't an original unit colar.

Now I know Civ doesn't use the thousands and thousands of colors PSP has, but I know there has to be a way to use YELLOW!!!!

;)

every unit can have about 150 colors.

colors->edit palette

Dont touch the top four rows, and for now stay away from the bottom 4 rows, and makes ure your middle rows have no colors whose RGB value match any RGB values in the top or bottom rows. If you follow these rules, you should be safe.

Also when you edit the palette, and you are doing cut n paste, you may see that your brown soldier has a bunch of yellow specks all over him. Choose color replacer, then replace the yellow with a shade of brown close to the one you changed to yellow.

color replacer in PSP 7 is a half blue, half red box box with an arrow in it.

ypeople keep talking about the Color--->Edit Palette command but in PSP 8.0 I see no "Color" command one the menue , its drop downs, or any icon described that way. Such an odd thing to get stuck on, what kind of palette doesn't include yellow?

never mind, figured it out ;), though they need not have made it so complicated.
