Lab Monkey

I knocked these beta graphics up in a day just to give you guys an idea, I'm sure a few of you war mongers will enjoy this mod.
Basically, my dungeon mod can't be completed until I've got a copy of conquests, so here's my new civ project.
Esentially it is a combat simulation, where the player has to juggle mechanised units and foot units in real close quarter city combat.
THE STORY
Ecological disaster has flooded a key capital city (the only way to explain away the ragged look the generator gives the maps). 8 military forces have moved in to occupy the ruins and take it over.
Cities will become command posts, irrigation and mines are worker housing, factories, etc. The tech tree will be changed to a 'supply tree', basically money diverted to buying in gear from your native country to help the war effort (so instead of researching tanks, it takes a dozen turns for your superiors abroad to ship you the technicians and tools to build them yourself.
Forests and jungles will become houses and ruins (to be kept or torn down to make way for your own buildings), hills and mountains are the big buildings, immovable, and impassable to all but foot soldiers, who use the cover to take pot shots at tanks stuck in the open ground. Also, naturally artillery has a very long range, just to make things more fun...
Barbarians are the resistors native to the city, fighting off the invaders.
The graphics are early, but will hopefully give you some idea of how the mod will eventually look. I may just release this as a graphics pack, because there are so many modern units that I'm sure you'll all want to customise just who is fighting over the urban sprawl.
Possible applications could be to make historically accurate sieges of real cities, but my graphics will be designed with the random generator in mind. Enjoy.
