Most of the leaderhead requests here ask for a 3D era-speciffic quality made leaderheads of everyone from Fidel Castro to Mansa Musa. Of course, only a few people on these forums can actually make these leaderheads, and out of those, only a few can do a real quality job that rivals the firaxis ones.

If not a 3D era speciffic leaderhead, people want a static leaderhead of some random leader, which looks blatantly out of place with the rest of civ3's graphics, and with each other as well.

Besides that, not many other options were considered. As I was working on my Cold War Mod, I figured that static leaderheads would be the best way to go for all 38 civilizations I plan to include (post-conquests). But then I saw these screenshot from civ3.com:

They're from the upcoming Conquests expansion pack. Specifically they're from a "Conquest' (scenario) about medieval Japan.

Rather than waste time making 24 3D 1-era Japanese leaderheads, they took an easier yet just as efficient route. They created "flags" (with an.. umm.. "3Dish" texture), that fit in with the actual leaderheads, but are much simpler, and I'm guessing, easier to make.

They look more like civilopedia icons than anything else. And as I know that many people on these forums create quality civilopedia icons, I was hoping someone on these forums could help me on my Cold War Mod.

I have a bunch of civilizations I'm adding in (From the U.S.S.R., to the Khmer Rouge), and having some sort of leaderhead for them would be a big boost for the mod.

I was hoping that somebody on these forums could help me out. If you think you can make "flag leaderheads", similar to the ones in the screenshot of the U.S.A. flag, the U.S.S.R. flag, and so forth and so forth, your help would be greatly appreciated.

And besides. Creating leaderheads like this would allow for much more complete mods throughout Creation and Customization. Rather than having to go with random pictures you find on the internet and convert to leaderheads, or having to wait 3 months for 1 of your leaderheads to get done, having flags would allow for modern scenarios to be made with a lot more quality.

Not after Conquests there won't be. As I understand it, Conquest will include 31 standard civs (24 from PTW + Mayans, Incas, Byzantines, Sumerians, Hittites, Dutch, and Portuguese), and I'm guessing you'll be able to mod in 7 more just like we can now.

Either way, no worries, I'm sure I'd be able to make a good enough mod with just 31, :)

:confused: Well considerng that there are 9 conquests, including a bunch of random civilizations from different time periods, and that all in all there will be around 50 "extra" civs in the conquests, I'm pretty happy with it.

no problems. It'd be just as good if someone would pick this up for 31 civs.
