What is the highest number of players people have successfully used in a LAN game. Does the no AI restriction only apply to turnless? Can you set a time limit on the simulatenous mode?

Max numbers: 8 (doing one tonight at home!! yeahhh)
AI: didn't try, i believe so.
Time Limit: yes, but it increase thourough the game to allow more time in advanced age.
