A quick question for you all. Why do some countries icons appear in my diplomacy screen and some don't after I have contacted them. This has been bugging me for a while.

you can change the faces by holding shift and clicking right mouse button on top of a face.

The Foreign Advisor screen was designed to hold your pic plus up to 7 others. This was a design decision from the beginning of development, and is not configurable. If you want to see different civs from those that appear, use the SHIFT-Right-Click technique described above to select which civ should appear in which spot.
