I finally was able to enter a multiplayer game.

However, I was unable to chat. It was politely suggested to me that I press the socalled 'tilde' key, which supposedly is located to the left of the '1' key, just under the 'esc' key. Problem is I don't have a key there! Then someone suggested that might be because i have a 'euro' keyboard. I don't know about that. My keyboard is a Toshiba portable. I have lost my manual, so can someone here please help me?

Normally it gives the character `, but with shift it gives ~. If you don't have such a key, why don't you try all 'weird' keys? :) Otherwise I wouldn't know. You should provide an image of your keyboard so that we can start guessing. :p
