From what we're looking at, this game is falling apart. At this rate, this game will be declared dead on Monday.

Im starting a PTW Regent SG v. 1.27 (whatever the latest version is as of 10.26.03)...

Note to anyone who joins: I ACCIDENTALLY MADE 7 CIVS INSTEAD OF 16.

The Order:
1. Capt. CivFreak
2. conehead234
3. Teknoice
4. Deatvert (is back :D)
5. ??????
6. ??????

Edit: Changed from 5 people to 6.

Note: If you have never beaten Regent before, tell me and I'll let you join even if all of the slots are full.

Well this is my first SG.

Parameters:
Must win by Conquest OR Domination.
World size: Large
Barbarians: Sedentary
Continents, 60% water (most land).
Climate: Normal
Temperature: Temperate
Age: 4 billion
Civ: England (Commercial/Expansionist)
Other civs: 7; all random
Difficulty: Regent
Other: Accel. Production.

If some Deity players could watch and help us that would be excellent.

This isn't a sign up, just a small suggestion.

Roll a start and edit your first post to show the picture, and list all the game parameters. Then advertise for players in the registry thread. It's "sticked" to the top of the forum. Include a link to this thread.

If you don't do this people wont find this thread. The only reason I did was because you posted in a game I'm playing and the thread was in your sig. :)

CaptainCivFreak
Oct 30, 2003, 05:35 PM
gormdragan, you have to build a city ON THE middle hill that has the incence. That will give us a defense bonus as well as 4 tradable incences :D [dance] [party]

conehead234
Oct 30, 2003, 07:02 PM

Let's try to hurry the game somewhat. I know everyone here has lives. But I've seen some great SG's fall to lack of playing speed. Let's get out of the dark ages of Civ III.

Note: We should usually vote be4 going 2 war. But if there's a really good reason, then just do it - say France attacks us.

Please read: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44999 for tips on not getting negative rep hits. We can't get better techs if everyone is furious with us for some reason or other... ;)

After this I'll stop blabbing out suggestions. We need workers, lots of them. We have some mountianous terrain that'll have to be mined and then roaded (or vise versa).

I had the turns finished and I even had the save file done, but just before I hit the submit reply button, my computer froze

So give me another day to play the turns unless you just want me to post the save file without posting the turns.

I have to go... I have a lot of yard work today :cringe:

CaptainCivFreak
Nov 03, 2003, 07:51 AM
I have the SAV file from after I took the turns, but I can't remember them exactly ( ;) ). Anyway, they were pretty good. I founded I think 3 cities... maybe. Should I just post the SAV, but not the turns...

If not... Deatvert should take the game. I won't have much time to play until maybe either tonight/tomorrow morning or maybe even Wednesday night cuz I'm in 2 other SG's now...

From what I see, it's past Sunday, so Deatvert should take his turns, then I'll go. But now I have to check my other sg's

I played 5 turns and decided to post turns so everyone can help decide the next decisions :

Turn 0- Everything looks good, move the scouts We should settle up by the wheat (circled in pic) to make it a worker factory or a settler factory

Turn 1- found incese city we now have 5 souces of incese
[dance] [party]
I set it to build a temple, I make roads with the workers, Where is that settler going? I don't know so I send it towards the cattle to found a city(also circle in pic) move scouts

Turn 2-Move settler towards cow on a river, build more roads and explore with scouts

Turn 3-I see that the French have coms with Russia but they won't sell, they are also 4 techs up. I set Canterbury to barracks after that is done it will make vet spears to put in alot of cities A settleris made and is sent south to settle on a river

Turn 4-Move scouts zzzzzzzzzz...

Turn 5-Coventry builds warrior set to temple
Newcastle (also circled) founded next to the cow on a river set to temple The Wheel is due in one turn

I like to build up culture thats why i tried to start alot of temples if you can give some opions on this i would be happy The settler circled is going to found next to the river one square away

Heres the Picture

Great set of turns, or at least half of the turns... here's a suggestion. Settle on the big red dot we'll get another Settler factory (good for domination). Build lots of workers (we'll need to clear that jungle by the new settler factory and so we can irrigate that area too).
