Hi, I have now posted a modded version of the DYP mod that is a varient I have worked on for a while. I hope this is ok with the DYP MOD team which created the mod and all within. I call it varient 3.1 Siamd.

IMPORTANT.....You must play this particular varient as Siam with DEMOCRACY as your govt as soon as it is available. IF you attempt to play it any other way it will fail as I designed it this waY.

The scenario is designed to play with QUICK turns through any age.

This Varient includes----AI ENHANCEMENTS-QUICK AI TERRITORY SETUP-FAST TURN LOGIC-AI CULTURE THREAT MODE-TONED DOWN AI POLLUTION-SMALL HITPOINT LOGIC-HUGE MAP TO EXPLORE (play on huge maps)-NEW CITY BUILD LOGIC(some areas of map will remain wilderness).................................Again this particular mode is designed for people who like -LONG GAMES with CONQUEST VICTORY........MONARCH LEVEL.......

IMPORTANT......USE ALL THE DEFAULT set-up choices (huge map-monarch-random world age-ect..) except you can change the civs that you play against but I would not go over 8 or 9 civs or you will make the game too hard. (8 is the default and recommended)

You must have DYP 1.50 installed to play this.

REMEMBER to use SIAM only for this one as your civ or the scenario will not play properly.......

Be sure to UNZIP this into the proper CIV3 DYP SCENARIO FILE and it will show up in the load scenario section....

I will also post a new varient at some point as I found a couple of minor bugs in this last one and will change the play around somewhat.
In this current varient I allowed air trade from a couple other structures because airports are built very late in the game and this allows the early rebasing of some units which I did not account for but the scenario is still fun and playable.
I am looking at the problem of artillery as currently used by the ai in this varient.


WARNING the varients I create are normally MORE difficult then standard games and Take LONGER to win.....(with a stronger AI)

UPDATE2 ......I highly recommend that you add utility program civ3ext to allow over the limit builds on troops. I have noticed that you will often hit the max units cap in the dyp mods and this is true in this scenario..

I am in the middle of a 2nd scenario(OCT31) which includes my quicker turn ai design- balloon spy unit-field command unit placement-larger army concept-revamped artillery(which will make artillery more defensive)-AI enhancements (WITH AI CULTURE expansion multiples)--------all designed for a conquest style play and very long interesting games vs the ai..

Look for Varient..........DYPv1.50x3.2VIK.zip in the next week or so.

Progress is going well on my next version but it is a long game and I had to start over due to a few changes not working well but so far this game is playing well. Probaly still be a week on a new version.

NOTE- On my last version is is considered an Exploit if you clear jungles -forest- TO BUILD EXTRA CITIES.

You can do it but its intended to remain wilderness and will make the game better if you build only on the allowed areas( grassland-plains-floodplains)

Let me know when the scenarios are finished, and I'll put links on the DYP site too.

REMEMBER to use SIAM only for this one as your civ or the scenario will not play properly....... I think you can set this using the Scenario Properties, but I guess you don't want it to be played as a scenario with a fixed map, right?

Thats exactly right. Its more of a varient to the main game that quickens the turns and (due to so many items to build,which I love) tones down the production effects some)The ai has a quick set and other advantages but a limited city build out.I mainly started this to be able to play on huge maps(slow computer) but to keep a very strong ai.

I believe the first scenario posted here plays fine if you wont to post but I was still tweaking a second one, however I was delayed by getting conquests.

The new scenario with the vikings is even more radical as I seek to limit land artillery to help the ai and do more ai tweaking.....thx
