(I'm guessing this is my 5th SG).

This is will be a C3C SG featuring Carthage (who's traits were just announced as changed in the latest C3C review).

World: Huge, 80%, Archipelago
Climate: ???/???/??? (I'll let you decide)
Barbarians: Roaming
Difficulty: Emperor

Here's the twist: The only offensive and defensive units that we can build are: Numidian Mercanaries and non resource bombard units (i.e., catapults and trebuchets). I could be mean, and make this an AW deity game, but I have no experience in an AW game. Since I'm a beta tester, I might not get my free CD until later (but, probably not on the 4th, even though I live close enough to Firaxis...).

Numidian Mercanaries have 3 defense, so that should serve us well into the Middle Ages. They can't retreat (which is why I didn't choose a mobile unit - that's been done before), so we'll need to bombard like crazy.

New Trait: Seafaring - This gives +1 movement in seas. The vital wonders (if possible) will be the Great Lighthouse and Magellan's.

So, any ideas for other twists to this SG?

You mean you are building NuMes while the AI is running around with cav or tanks? :cooool:

One comment: Do you know how many attempts (on average) it takes for cats to reduce HPs from units fortified in cities?
I say only one word: numerous
Therefore, capturing cities will be highly unlikely or way too elaborate.

This challenge isn't for the faint of heart, but for those who like bombarding the heck out of everyone. :) If we can keep the AI from contacting eachother, then they won't even GET to tanks (just look at BamSpeedy's "Beyond Sid").

Trying CT 5 after a year's pause ;)

Good luck. I won't have Conquest for at least a week and by then this game should be well underway.

Have fun playing.

hmmm...i've never played an SG, but I'm not bad at Civ3 and i've followed a lot, so i'm familiar with them. So put me down if you want to risk it. (btw, I won't have conquest for 1-3 days)
