Maybe this isn't a bug, but it's kind of weird. Sumer is due to riot, they have 1 happy and 2 unhappy citizens. I missed that, so after hitting enter, the town riots. Only thing is, when they are rioting they now have 2 happy and 2 unhappy citizens.

[edit] If you load this save, it is the next turn that Sumer riots.

BTW, Conquests seems to give me an awful lot of crappy starts like this one too :p .

Did the town just grow in size? If so, the game probably checks the happiness before updating the growth.

No, acually it's size 6 before and during the riot. I'm pretty sure the citizens are working the same tiles too.

I think I 'might' know. Did you ever use the whip? Perhaps the 20 turns of unhappiness from whipping had just ended that turn. The game figure the happiness (checking for riots), before the game clears away the unhappiness penalty.

I think you are right Bamspeedy. I did use the whip kind of heavily in that town. That would explain it, thanks.
