I looked on these forms and i could never really find an awnser for my problem. I loaded Civ 3 peachy perfect. I saw the opening video and it looked ok. So then when i hit new game i could chose all my land type barbarians etc. then i hit next and a screen poped up about not being able to find i belive the used the word find civilization.exe and i was like WtF?! so i did a quick game and any time you try to build it says stuff about a draw buffer? Does someone know how to fix this. I've seen other people have this problem and posted about it but no one replied. So..... help.

What Operating System (98,2000,etc)?
What directory did you install Civ to?
What version of civ did you install?

Im using a...sorry i have no clue but it is NOt a nividia i know that this computer is running a pentium 3 if that means any thing

I installed the CD then i got the patch v.1.29f but it seemd that the patch did crap so...

Pentium 3 is your processor (CPU) not video.
According to Atari (owner's of civilization 3) you might want to try these things. Not try checking on how many fonts you have first.

Error: "Unable to allocate draw buffer."
Remove excess fonts.
To delete extra fonts:
Click "Start"
Click "Run"
Type "control"
Click "OK"
Click on a font that isn't in the list below
Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard
Repeat until you have less than 250 fonts

Fonts that should not be deleted:
Arial
Arial Bold
Arial Bold Italic
Arial Italic
Courier 10,12,15
Courier New
Courier New Bold
Courier New Bold Italic
Courier New Italic
Marlett
Modern
MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
Roman
Script
Small fonts
Symbol
Symbol 8,10,12,14,18,24
Times New Roman
Times New Roman Bold
Times New Roman Bold Italic
Times New Roman Italic
Wingdings
Any font with an A for its icon.
Any font that begins with MS
