Could someone please point me in the direction of an open training SG game? I have recently acquired the Conquests expansion and want to give it a whirl.

There are no open Training Games at the moment. As someone who has run one in the past, I can profess the huge amount of time invested. Nearly all of the past trainers are now exploring C3C themselves and likely do not have the time required for such a venture. Maybe in a month or so...

My suggestion is to jump into a regular C3C game that is near your level of play. Probably everyone is learning conquests in it & sharing their discoveries.

I would recommend reading the old training day games (TDGs). Most of the basic strategies and techniques for solid play are the same in all Civ 3 games. If you are a regent level player, you will benefit greatly from reading these old documents. If you are a diety-level player, then you probably dont need the TDGs anyway.
