View Full Version : Shift+P no longer autoclears pollution rlw33 Nov 19, 2003, 04:23 PM When a worker is activated and the Shift+P command is pressed the worker no longer automaticaly clears the pollution. kring Nov 19, 2003, 05:00 PM From the Civpedia: Clear Damage (Shift-C) Removes Pollution, including fallout from a Volcanic Eruptions, and Craters. Automate: Clear Damage (Shift-D) Automates the worker, giving it the task of clearing all nearby pollution, including Craters and fallout from a Volcanic Eruptions. rlw33 Nov 19, 2003, 05:02 PM I haven't read the manual yet (waiting for the weekend :) ) Thanks for the info. Other than looking into the manual or pedia, you could prevent these kind of um... 'bugs' ;) by displaying all worker command buttons (check prefs) and moving the mouse over the command buttons (keyboard short cut and actual number of turns to complete task are displayed). :) rlw33 Nov 20, 2003, 11:54 AM My Bad. I suppose I should have read the civilopedia to check if they had simply changed the keyboard shortcut for some odd reason. The thing is... If I was reading the civilopedia then I wouldn't be playing the game (you can see my dilemma ;) ) thanks again for the info, R. Traian Nov 20, 2003, 09:50 PM The keyboard shortcut was changed for an unknown reason. SHIFT-D is the new shortcut for automatically clearing pollution. SHIFT-D is also the keyboard shortcut for initiating diplomacy. Many times when I try to bring up the diplomacy screen I wind up automatically assigning my worker (which was the active unit) to clear pollution. A real pain since you lose the worker for that turn. |
